Fri 9/19/2008 8:38p | Day one, September 13, 2008.
Today was our day to drive to DL from Sacramento. We ( me,DH,DD8 Anna, DS5 Robby) got on the road at about 9am. On the way the kids entertained themselves and we all played the "dune buggy" game aka "slug bug". DH always wins and today was no different. GGRR! We stopped at the Marie Callender's by MM for a late lunch and continued on to Hojo's. Once we arrived there I checked us in. There was a slight problem getting into our room since Hojo's is updating the room keys to the cards instead of those plastic ones with the holes in it. Apparently nobody is keeping track of which rooms have been upgraded to the new cards. Once we were in the room the kids changed into their swimsuits and it was off to Pirate's Cove. I bought myself a Bacardi Mojito and hung out on a lounge chair while the kids played. Once it became dark we went up ordered dinner from Mimi's and relaxed.

Fri 9/19/2008 8:41p | Day two... called Villains told her where I was - by the time she was there I was gone... Let Villains chase me all over DL.
Day three - Villains last day - leave half text message then call instead... tell her DCA this morning - Villains gets to DCA and my phone is off... Villains has to leave to appease her Dh and get home early. I call Villains back right as she is pulling out of the DL properties..

Sounds like a fairly relaxing first day, Mater. Too bad about the room key mixup. hopefully it was a quick fix.

We arrived on the 12th and we sat there trying to stick this card into the door and my friend kept trying to find another slot and then with just the corner and I kept telling her that I was sure that the whole card had to go in.
To be fair, it was 1:30 AM and we figured that maybe we were just too tired to figure this out.
We finally went down to the front desk building and he told us about the mix up.
He was extremely apologetic which we felt made up for the mistake.
A few days later, our lock was changed to the new one!
How long were you there for and what room were you in?
We were there from the 12th to the 17th and were were in 1609. |
