Joe thanks for the info on the monorail, but more importantly thanks for the beautiful preview Disney Sea photos on your website. I just saw your Mysterious Island preview, and let out a loud yelp of surprise that had a few concerned people running to my office.

Now I am faced with a huge dilemma: should I look at the rest of the photos, or wait to "discover" the park in person. I'm torn between dying to know more, yet not diluting the excitment of seeing the park first time, in person next month.

Thanks Kodpeace. Well, the media blitz has begun for TDS. All the major TV networks in Japan had live reports from the park this afternoon.

So, when do we start getting trip reports?

Bring on the spoilers!

I was there. Are you *sure* you want spoilers??

Hi Marc! Good question. I know there are are a lot of people who would be very interested in reading a trip report (your writing is much better than mine). If you do decide to write one for the boards, may I suggest creating a new topic and give a warning to those who may not want to read about it because they are planning to visit the Park in the near future. I'd like to get your first impressions from inside the park too! Or email me! Thanks and enjoy.

What would be helpful to a future tourist is a ranking of attractions with the A-E scale, so I could figure out what things are "do not miss" and which could be skipped if time starts running short (and which ones might develop the longest lines!)

Also maybe a couple details in each land that we could look for, that one might be apt to miss. For example, I'm not sure if I new the Queen was above Snow White before I read it on the Internet. I'm sure there are so many things in the park that sharing one, two or three wouldn't ruin the sense of discovery.

Actually, I'm in the process of wtiting an atricle for LP about the press event days (I'm about to take off for the second day of two). I'm taking an approach kind of like what you describe, Hopemax. Passing along my personal impressions and "ratings" of the attractions and staying away from many spoilers.

Right now I'll just say - my, oh my, oh my, oh my... There really never has never been anything like this place...

I've suspected that seeing Disney Sea might blow people's minds as much as walking into Disneyland for the first time during the 50's and 60's, before theme parks were normal. And from trying to explain to people the draw of Disneyland today even, there are no words to do it justice and pictures aren't enough.

I'm glad to hear that Disney Sea is like that for people.

Hopemax says in post #36 >>post a scale from A-E to identify "not to be missed" attractions vs. those that can be skipped"

No offense intended but that sounds almost sacrilegious (sp?)!!! OLC has poured a gazillion amount of dough into this elaborate showplace. That is the kind of reasoning guests in America have when they go into a theme park: rush thru in a cardio-kind of way and do it promtly, without regards to the money you have spent yourself to stop, enjoy the details and everything else a theme park has to offer.

Hopemax, my friend, while there are quite a few things to skip at WDW and DCA, over at TDS i would not advise to do so, specially on a 1st time visit. Granted i have not had the chance to visit TDS yet, but knowing the way TDL next door is operated, i can only imagine the little wonders TDS has to offer that will probably go unnoticed by guests who'd opt to rush thru the park. I mean, wouldn't you just love to take a leisure ride aboard that cute Police cart in the American Waterfront area? I am sure the silly volcano ride can wait 'till later...

;-)

I mean.. we are talking about TDSea here!! Not Eisnerland.
