1	Kala Mon 10/6/2008 7:00p	We were in Disney last week for our 10th Anniversary and stopped by to check out the model room for the Cali. Grand Villa. They had the studio and one bedroom model available out behind the wonder tower of the DLH. If you are a DVC member you can tour the models at your leisure with a guide. All you need to do is go to the DVC office, 3 story orange bldg. out side the wonder towers of the DLH, show your DVC membership card and a guide will walk you over and show you all the special amenities. No pictures allowed, though I've seen some posted on other sites, I'll try to find the link and add it later in this post. If you aren't a member you can set up an appointment with a DVC guide at a kiosk or at the office. I believe they are open until 6 PM. They style is craftsmen gorgeous marble and granite throughout the villa, nice rich dark wood, very classic and even elegant. The studio was very spacious, nice full sized bathroom, kitchenette, the couch folded out to a queen sized be and a really neat feature was the murphy bed, a little wider, longer than a twin, came out from under the entertainment center. It was so well hidden, who knew? :) We liked the studio, and it would be less points so for us it would be perfect! The one bedroom was awesome! It had a full kitchen, huge bedroom, king bed, and best of all 2l bathrooms! One off the master bedroom, one outside the kitchen area. a 3/4 bathroom with stand up shower. The master bathroom had a sliding partition that you could move to watch T.V. while you tubf or whatever :) It was spacious, spacious, spacious. I want to live there! We are saving our $$ to buy points in this resort just to book 11 mos in advance. Since we don't have kids we can pretty much go on the off season. I know it will probably be a challenge to book because they'll only have 50-55 units studio, one bedroom, 2 bedroom units and a grand villa. If you have the time check them out and let me know what you think.
2	schnebs Tue 10/14/2008 1:10p	Cool! I'd love to see it, but I've already been through 2 DVC presentations in Florida without buying - I'm afraid that if I ask to attend another one, they're going to throw me in Mickey Jail until I actually agree to buy in. :)
