My concern is that many of the evangelical persuasion are obsessed with the "end times" and trying to predict when they will come (in spite of Jesus's direct warning that its location in history is hidden from men). I fear that if they believe that the end is near that they might let the nukes fly, since Jesus will "rapture" them away before Armageddon actually happens. (Note: while non-evang Christians do believe that Jesus will return at the end, they do not subscribe to the "rapture" business. |

| Spirit of 74 Fri 10/17/2008 10:33a | ^^It's crap like that scares the hell out of me. Crazy men and women who believe such nonsense shouldn't be in any position of authority in this country.
A devout follower of any religion, who doesn't believe in a strict seperation of their beliefs from government, ought to go see Bill Maher's Religulous. Very dangerous people.
But your last post likely totally killed this thread ... so look for The Second Official Magical Cutback Thread ... coming to a LP near you soon.

| fkurucz Fri 10/17/2008 10:57a | ^^First of all, 20% fewer spots on the Dalmatians. Focus group studies indicate that only 4% of guests will complain. |

I think that should read, "The Second Coming of the Magical Cutback Thread" given the circumstances surrounding that post.
Apparently, Spirit is rapturing his cause right outta this one.
It'll be interesting to see how he resurrects the topic.
Arm-a-geddon outta this thread too, now that it's reaching an apocalyptic end.
Funny how mentioning "end times" brings a swift conclusion to the discussion.
--------------------------
on a serious note, I actually think this topic started out as a very good idea, but I just couldn't resist the above comments once the spots started falling off the Dalmations.

| Skellington88 Fri 10/17/2008 11:57a | Walt Disney World is so terrible im never going back unless I see some SERIOUS new additions like a new Star Tours, expansion of Animal Kingdom, new NON cartoon tie-in attractions, Journey to the Center of the Earth from tokyo, etc.
From now on my business goes to Universal where there doing the smart thing and expanding and building rgith through the depression so that when business gets good again there gonna take off like crazy because tehy will have all kinds of stuff like Harry Potter ready and open to experince. I'll also go to DCA in 2012 if everything there promised is open. Although I dont care much for cartoon tie-ins I will go to check out Cars Land and Little Mermaid because that is the ambitious immersive entertainment that I am looking for. |

Isn't that just like the cartoon tie-ins you lament at WDW? |
