I heard that there were empty spaces left in the Fantasyland buildings to add new dark rides in the future. Specifically I have heard that there is room to add a Peter pan's Flight without having to build a new building. Is this true?

Both "wings" of Fantasyland have space for an additional dark ride (ie. the same structures that house Pooh and Philharmagic). The Tomorrowland building that houses Buzz also has an internal pad for expansion. WDI have always been honest about the expansion opportunities within the existing structures (they were mentioned in the HKDL issue of Tales).

I think the Mermaid ride going into DCA would be a great fit in Fantasyland. Although maybe too big for one of those exisitng spaces.

^^ Definitely too big. Way too big. The spaces are designed for traditional dark rides. There is sufficient headroom for Pan though. :-)

I have heard rumours that as part of a proposed Fantasyland makeover for the Magic Kingdom, some dark rides could go and be replaced by newer movies like Beauty and the Beast. Now with this project apparently on hold, will some of the ideas be used in Hong Kong instead.
