>>Treat me well and I will treat you well. Approach me like an obnoxious twit and I will call you on it.<<

I will concur and agree with all of your statement. These past few weeks I've worked several "two way parade control" shifts at the MK for the Halloween parties (figured since I couldn't afford to go to them- Id work them) and it was very amazing to me how degrading and downright mean to us the guests were.

There were some very nice guests but for every great guest we had there were 5 who were rude, crass and offensive to us. I was run out of my spot more than once by an ecv or stroller who apparently thought we were brightly colored bowling pins not people. I had my fair share of bad experiences to last a lifetime during those 4 hour shifts...

^^^^^I remember an incident when I worked at Mervyn's back in college. A girl was walking through my department (children's) with her mother and accidentally ran into a rack and knocked some clothing to the ground. She bent over to pick them up and her mother said, "Don't bother with that, that's what SHE'S here for," while pointing at me. Some people believe that when they're customers they can do whatever the hell they please, and that employees are simply there to do their bidding. It's a disgusting attitude that's gotten more prevalent in recent years. Common courtesy has become a thing of the past.

Welcome to the USA pal---- land of the rude and lazy.

You wil not find those indolentmobiles outside the US except in rare, legitimate cases.

>(the cannons don't work right or light up when they fire ... the seats all have mildew and rot on top of them).>

I don't know why this made me laugh, but it did. Of course this is the same company that can't keep the AA "star" of Everest working, either. So no surprise there.

Right now, Universal has Hollywood, Rip, Ride, Rockit coming to the studios, And The Wizarding world of Harry Potter with 1 massive new E-Ticket, one new state of the art special FX show and a innovative interactive game coming to IOA.
Disney has AI and new timeshares on the horizon.
As of yet, not only is Diney not planning on countering HP, but they aren't even positioning themselves to take advantage of the influx coming for HP.

^^ There is going to be Star Tours 2... not quite a multi-million dollar e ticket (as far as I can tell), but a genuine new attraction nonetheless.

Disney World is crap, it's poorly ran, and is a cheap rip off of the original in California. Since Disney has Branded their Florida Resort with their name, people will automatically visit it and assume it is "the best" since it is Disney, and therefore, Disney is spoiled and does not need to compete very hard with another else, and therefore doesn't feel the need to spend $$$ of too many new attractions or park improvements, yet Universal HAS to compete with Disney, so they've raised there game to the top, along with Sea World. Personally, I feel Universal Florida is 10 steps above anything at WDW, and IOA is one of the best parks i've ever visited.

Ummm unless they plan to add it as a new building its not a new attraction its a new show and a few show tweaks to an existing ride... One that while is needed is quite frankly 8 years past due...

To me its like rehabs- They are needed and expected to extend the life and relevency of the attraction. Good when they happen but necessary.

Great job to Spirit and the rest of you who give the Disney company strong constructive criticism. I think that we can all agree that the Disney experience has had a reputation for excellence and shouldn't fall below this. Everyone keep pointing out their flaws. I believe that sites like this one are monitored by Disney. So, all of our opinions count!

<<<Sadly they have taken that stance. I think they have been relying on their past reputation rather than creating a new high for excellence in the industry.>>

<>> Simple. They spent at least $17,000 (???) on a DVC 'investment' ... they are trapped. They are going to WDW no matter what. And Bob, Jay, Al and Co all know this. <<

2008 will be the first year in thelast 20 years my family and I have not made a trip to a Disney park. Combinationof factors - economy / tough scheduling as my kids are older / and nothing there that's a real "I gotta see this now" attraction.
Do I miss the parks - you bet ...do I feel trapped because I am a DVC owner ? Nope.
I rolled a years points over to 2009. If I don't use them @ WDW, I may use them at another location via transfer - and use some of them for a separate Vero or Hilton Head only trip. I have been a member since 1993. My family and I got free admission for 7 years plus my lodgings - so I don't feel like I have to go every year now or lose $. Simply not true for me and most who bought back then. Going every other year instead of every year+ is just fine too. The hit to WDW is the money I and my family spend on ticket nedia and food etc..

I am sure Bob ,Jay ,Al et al aresmart enough to figure that out also as I get plenty of surveys as to frequency of my visits etc.. They can use those databases to withdraw similar data on usage of points. Nowmaybe they don't care- that's a different issue
