<<There is going to be Star Tours 2... not quite a multi-million dollar e ticket (as far as I can tell), but a genuine new attraction nonetheless.>>

A redone Star Tours, while nice, in no way qualifies to me as a new attraction.

This is still simulator technology ... the same one that was sold to us two decades ago as something easily changable ... in other words, it's the LCI of the 1980s and 90s.

And the way the economy is going, who knows whether they've delayed this too.

You don't hear many WDW rumors here, do you? When does our 'insider' Leemac ever post on WDW threads?

I admit I don't know what's going on here. Anaheim? Yeah. China? Yeah. Paris? I think so. But Orlando? ... To steal a tag from a bad phone commercial, it's a dead zone there.

<<It acctually isn't mildew, it is hard water calcium deposits, and is very hard for then to get off, i have seen custodial try and clean it. Last time it was done, about 6 months ago, they had to competly closer the theater for a day afterwards, do the the strength of the solvents it takes to remove then.>>

I'll take your word for it, Brad.

But perhaps they should have thought about this affect before they decided to build an attraction where water would lie on top of these seat mechanisms ... that would have taken something called ... uhm ... ah ... foreplay ... no, that's the good stuff ... forsight ... yeah, that's it.

Oh, and I just want to say I have no idea what was posted in 32 and am in no way responsible, but I do wish I would have seen it.

>>There were people ... conventioners at some ... but it sure seemed like the average load at those resorts was a lot closer to 50% than 100%.<<

You are not too far off base...

The only "good" part is that since less cast is being scheduled I tend to get a better parking spot.. I haven't had to park in the back lot at the 'temp for over 2 weeks now... course I only have a 4 day work week this week with everyone dropping down to 32 hours (Apparently someone's bonus must be in jeopardy) despite having a semi busy week...

<<Do they realize at all how stale a product they have?>>

Not until attendance plummets. When that happens it will be just like the mortgage disaster: "no one could have seen it coming", "it caught everyone by suprise".

So who did post #32? I haven't seen red around here for a long time.

<<Apparently someone's bonus must be in jeopardy>>

And the really sad thing is that the mid level manager's bonus is probably more than the combined annual salary of several CMs. Get to director level and you are probably talking the equivalent of a platoon of CMs.

Here where I work there is a great deal of competition to get onto the management track (and the competition is fierce). As one co-worker described it "once you get to the third level of management you start to get paid 'crazy money'", which probably explains why the third level and higher managers always look so happy.

>> but I am shamelessly trying to up the post count on this thread as I started it on another Disney site and as of last check was in the 200 post neighborhood.

So ... let's all try harder.

Unless you want to talk politics? <<

It's up to over 300 now. Do I get extra points for posting on both?

I'll be up for a good political debate in about 2 weeks. I think I should be over the shock of the election by then, hopefully.

I can't believe you would have anything but a cheery family bobbelee.

I don't know, but my instinct tells me it involved name calling of a certain poster on here. I just wish they would leave those things up so we all had a chance to ridicule them.
