Close to 0; the parks are the heart and soul of WDW--- certainly not downtown Disney, hotels, golf courses or wide world of sports.

I think she is the kind of person that needs something to do. I'm glad I'm not scared to be lazy.
>> All this talk about the Parks makes we want to go!! My kids have 2 wks. off at Christmas!! <<
That's got to be the best way to get into the Christmas spirit. |

| bobbelee9 Thu 11/13/2008 1:44p | Thank you Barboy. It's not management or CMs who throw the trash around, it's the &^%$$%&* guests.
Happy can't make her mind up. At one point she went to WDW 2 years apart and crabbed because she was going again so soon. A few months ago she was going to DL in 4 years, now she's talking Christmas. No wonder I dye my hair. |

<<I also know that if it had sucked, you would have said that no matter how magnificent Hong Kong is.>>
Yeah ... you're right, I would have.
I guess this post teaches us (well, not us but those playing the LP.com home edition -- btw, I personally think the Doobie blowup doll that's included was a tacky marketing ploy but ... ;-) ) two things:
1.) the Spirit of 74 really does tell it like he sees it, whether you agree or disagree;
and
2.) HKDL most assuredly doesn't suck!

| Spirit of 74 Thu 11/13/2008 8:11p | <<Believe me I know what Disney is capable of. I made my first visit to Disneyland 41 years ago. I have also seen the pictures, and read the reports of a lot of people. TDR is spectacular by almost everyone's account. I know Dave really likes both DL, and DLP, along with many others. While that is definetly not as good as a visit for myself, I figure that many people can't be wrong.>>
True enough, but since I picture you as one of them monied Texas oil tycoons (cue the theme from Dallas now), I think you should go see them yourself.
Start right here at home ...
When's the last time you've been to DL?

| Spirit of 74 Thu 11/13/2008 8:17p | <<How about slobs and vandals from Europe, US and Latin America who drop trash anywhere and deface the queues? It's not just poor management but poor guest culture.
Guests in Tokyo Dis. Resort, which might well be 99% Japanese, keep their parks clean and know how to behave. They respect what they have. >>
You are 100% correct, but it doesn't matter.
Guests at the US and Paris resorts are often pigs. That's a fact. Disney knows it. It's no secret (like DVC!) ... It's ultimately Disney's responsibility to keep the parks clean.
Period.
I don't care if guests decide to stage a mass defecation in the Hub (sorry, but I had to take this to a ridiculous, disgusting degree) but it's still Disney's job to make that mess disappear magically.
I fully understand that people have no respect for the property of others ... that's not the point at all.
