So based on what the rumor mill has out there, here is a rundown of what I think we will find when it opens. I made up the names to make it more fun.

Attractions:

Care of Magical Creatures Class
Explore Hagrid’s Hut then ride a Hippogriff in Care of Magical Creature Class

First Task: Dragons
Fly with a Dragon in The Tri-Wizard Tournament’s First Task

Hogwarts: An Introduction to Magic
First Years Orientation to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A magic filled state of the art special FX show.

OWL Quest
Fred and George’s notes on the back of the Marauder Map will help you explore the class rooms, house common rooms, and Dumbledore’s office in your quest to complete the tasks of your OWL (Ordinary Wizarding Levels) exams.

The Secrets of Hogswarts
Take a spine tingling journey through the Forbidden Forest then into the depths of Hogwarts Castle to The Chamber of Secrets where you get up close and personal to a giant Basilisk.

Restaurants:

The Three Broomsticks
Rotisserie Chicken, Slab Meat Sandwiches, and of course Butterbeer

The Great Hall
While stuffing yourself at the Holiday Feast, don’t forget to marvel at the enchanted ceiling.

Shops:

Gladrags Wizardwear
All the Harry Potter swag you’ll ever need. Robes and scarves and dragon plush, Oh my!

Honeydukes Sweetshop
Chocolate Frogs, handmade fudge, and Bertie Botts galore.

Dervish & Banges: Magical Equipment / Ollivander’s Hogsmeade
Wands, wand bling, and OWL Quest accessories.

Special Events

Halloween
A not so scary Halloween fest with wandering Death Eaters, Dementors, and Wizard duels in the streets. It will be a more family friendly version of HHN.

Hogsmeade Holidays
Wander the streets of Hogsmeade all decked out for the Holidays. Sip hot chocolate and snack on pumpkin bread as you watch the snow flurries swirl around the carolers. Also The Great Hall should feature a special menu “Holiday Feast".

I cannot wait for this to open! I already have plans to go visit. To be honest... I'm most excited to try a Butterbeer. LOL!

So now Dave I want to address a few of the things you brought up over on the other thread.

Throughput issues. On the Robocoaster, I know they are going with a continous loading system similar to Haunted Mansion. Utilizing a "Magic Carpet" moving sidewalk. And the ride vehicles sit 4 adults, PP sits 2. I don't think it will be the people eater HM is, but it will be far better than PP.
As far as the HP interactive game. Yes it will be popular, but it isn't the kind of thing you queue up for. You wander around looking for clues. Most of the game will be inside the castle and at times will be slammed. But there will be triggerable stuff throughout the entire land. But I do believe that it will get crowded at times. I think they may use an upcharge per hour of game time as a sort of crowd control. After your 60/90 mins are up either you will leave the gaming area or pay another $10 to keep playing.
The changes to DD queue, should be for the better. They are leaving the entire queue that is there with just changing out the preshow elements. Right now you walk past the little preshow they have there now. The new one is going to be a more elaborate stop and watch preshow similar to RnR. There is also supposed to be a really cool special FX "Goblet of Fire" that you pass in the queue. But the whole castle queue should remain.

As far as the series goes, I felt the first 2 books were juvinile. And clearly from a new author. The 3rd was a transition book. But from the 4th on I thought she had reached a comfortable stride as a competent author. As a whole I think the HP series is the best series to introduce the concepts of literature to a young audience. JK single-handedly reintroduced "reading" to the youth of the U.S. Until HP, I didn't see lines of kids around the block at midnight waiting on a book. A lot of those same kids are now dissecting the 4 Stephanie Meyer's books from the "Twilight" series.
As far as JK herself, I think she has done OK at going from rags to riches. Lord knows what I would have done.

Very well said yatesy!!!

I completely agree. I also think it's commendable that she gives so much money to charity and in particular child literacy programs.

That's a funny one fkurucz (thankfully my British bride loves rootbeer) Shame we pay $2 a can from an importer for it.

Part of the reason is here in the UK there is a very old market leading product called Germolene. It is an antiseptic cream and it smells very much like rootbeer. Because of that, I think that is why the Brits are not big fans. But Sarah, my step dad and the UKFAN posse are, so there are some British fans.
