My favorite is AKL closely followed by WL and POR. Least favorite would be any of the value resorts. I prefer to stay off property rather than in a value resort.

we love Port Orleans Riverside. all the lanscaping separates everything and gives a feeling of privacy on those late night strolls. I love to sit on the banks of the Sasagoula with a beer and listen to the horse plod by pulling a carriage and the river boats humming by. It's just such a peaceful place. BTW I recommend staying on the parking lot side of the buildings because all the air units are on the water view side of the building and some are quit loud. I thought it was funny that you pay more for these rooms and they put the air units right outside your door. We stayed at the carribean our first time on property and never went back. Although you can see epcot's fireworks from there, when we were there the lake smelled like a sewer and the smell permeated our room. It was also an unbelieveably long walk to the food court from our far end of the resort. One night we returned to our room to find the maid had left the door propped open and forgotten to close it so that our room was left open for hours since we didn't get back till 10pm. We didn't like pop century because there was no landscaping really and wherever you went it seemed like you were in a crowd. We just felt more exposed all the time. There was also the accompanying clatter as there weren't any noise breaks.

We have eaten at Chef Mickeys (that was OK, but don't think I'd return) and didn't care for the look of the Contempory. It seems so cold to me. My aunt always stays there because you can walk to MK, which I have to admit is a good selling point.

OK ... I'll take part in this non-critical, non-political, non-WDW exec bashing thread.

My favorites are:
1.) WL;
2.) DAK Lodge;
3.) Poly;
4.) Contemporary;
5.) Swan;
6.) Port Orleans REAL ONE;
7.) Dolphin;
8.) Boardwalk;
9.) Dixie Landings;
10.) Grand Flo;

Least favorite:

I don't have one ... CBR would come closest.

Also, I have stayed at every WDW resort (most many times) except for OKW, Beach Club Villas and ASMovies.

^^I loved it when it opened in 1988. It was awesome. Disney theming. High quality offerings in the food court. Mini-bars in the rooms. An island with parrots and other tropical birds. It was terrific.

It's also gone way downhill.

It's also the first resort at WDW where I had to demand another room and explain to a front desk manager why havinga filthy, falling apart room wasn't acceptable for Disney (while nervous guests checked in around me).

I wound up with a brand new renovated room. A year later went back, stayed in the same building and it appeared as if the carpeting (that had been new in 10/00) wasn't vacuumed once since it was installed.

They clearly have major management issues at that resort.

I have stayed at ASMovies, ASMusic (many times each), Contemporary (once) & Poly(once). Of those My favorite was The Poly. My Least favorite was the Contemporary. We really like the All Stars resorts. Our budget is usually very limited, so the Value resorts are the way for us. We have never had a problem or complaint with any of our stays at the AS resorts. If money was free flowing we would probably stay at Poly everytime.

I've stayed at Pop, Caribbean Beach, Yacht Club and The Poly. Gosh, don't think I have a least fav, I've had great stays at all 4.

I can say that Yacht Club is my fav. Love the proximity to EPCOT and Studios and the service was amazing (they even granted my request for late checkout!).

I'll be at POFQ Dec. 10-17 and definitely looking forward to it.

Only been to WDW 2 times. 1st time 1998 Coronado Springs was brand new. Mickey visited for the resort for Cinco De Mayo.Totally fun - we were never in the rooms.

My 2nd trip Sept 08 stayed at POP - loved it - dreaded going there at first because of reviews. I am not a room person. It was clean had a close room - hardly no waiting for buses. AND I was amazed how BIG - Everything POP shopping store is.

I would love to stay at Poly or AK but only if I got lots of moolay

Say

when I win the lottery.

POP prices allowed me to stay 13 nights. When only visiting once a year I need all the extra nights possible.
