Dinosaur always seems to be running well for me, as well during our visits to DAK. Perhaps it is more reliable because it is the 2nd generation of the ride system.

I had that same thought too..... but is it really a next generation model? Indiana Jones in Anaheim came out in '95 and CTX was in '98, right? Were there any engineering changes to the ride system in the 3 years?

Now IJ Crystal Skull in Dis Sea(2001) looks to be a next generation ride but I just don't know about CTX/Dinosaur though.

It's possible that they just worked the 'bugs' out from Indy to CTX/Dinosaur since Indy was the prototype ride system.

Another thought just crossed my mind. Indy has much longer 'work' days than Dinosaur. Disneyland stays open much later than DAK (which usually closes about 5-6pm), so, that might also be another reason...less wear and tear.

I wonder if it has to do with the timing of the effects in Indy, which seem more complex than Dinosaur?

---very good angle there,

you're right Disneyland works that IJ silly day in day out for 3-7 hrs. more than Dinosaur each day.

I would have to think that that would factor in too.
