Just thought I would relay a little positive experience we had last week. At Port Orleans Riverside there is a little lady who works in the gift store. We have seen her the last 3 years. She is great with the kids. We always trade pins and last week sought her out because she always has a great lanyard. She was very kind to us even going into a backroom and bringing out a cork board with at least 100 pins for us to trade. She probably spent 10 minutes with us. My kids were thrilled. It was one of those magic moments at disney. I should have gotten her name and filed a compliment. To all the CMs out there you guys are a big part of the magic. Thanks

Indeed I would say that the CM's are the one's who bring the magic to life!

The staff at the General Store at OKW is almost always way above avergae in their interaction- whether it's pin trading or trying to locate merchandise for you. I usually attend durig SWW - and the staff there has been great calling people about limited items for me etc..-- or asking what kind of pins you're looking for - then go back the next day and the person has pins waiting for you. I mentioned I collect Donald pins to one CM-- within 2 days he had 5-6 pins waiting for me..including CM lanyard pins.

Some of the people at OKW have been there a long time. One of the management team was the water trolley driver when we joined and has moved up thru the ranks - still pleasant as can be ..and helpful

There are some CMs who really get it and seem to enjoy the interaction. Our maid this year was named Martha and she would leave us messages and arrange our toys and leave towel animals. We never saw her in person but she made a great impression on our family. we had 7 towel animals by the end of the week. When we returned to the room my kids wouldn't allow anyone in the room. We all had to enter at once so we could all see what she had done that day. I hope Disney appreciates the CMs as much as we do.

The CM's are the front line of the Magic at WDW. There are certainly a lot more good ones than bad. I just wish that all the guest appreciated them for making the Magic happen. I certainly wish they got better treatment from management than they do. Giving them a livable wage would be a giant step in the right direction.
