| BriGuy85 Thu 11/27/2008 1:29a | Ok so I need to get a new phone and want one of the new high tech ones. I currently have t mobile and been looking at the G1. But I also like the blackberry storm, which ill have to switch to verison for. I looked at the verison's plans and it would cost me like 50 bucks more than what I'm paying for t mobile now...
Does anyone know which is the better phone? Is it worth switching over and paying more? |

I've heard the G1 is nice hardware, but the software needs work (It's a first iteration though so I don't think the rough edges are surprising). Actually the hardware for the Storm, according to the review, is quite nice too, but the software kills the deal.

| sun-n-fun Sun 11/30/2008 2:39p | I was looking at the storm at the mall yesterday and I wasn't thrilled with it. It isn't really even a touch screen, the front pushes down like a big button and it seemed hard to navigate. JMHO as I haven't looked at the other.... |

| LadyKluck Sun 11/30/2008 10:00p | I don't know much about the storm but don't really like blackberries in general. I work for T mobile and have had my G1 for about a month now and I love it. Typing from it right now actually! It does have its flaws but what cell phone doesn't!! My biggest complaint is probably the battery life but that's my own fault because I spend so much time goofing around with the web & apps! You might consider the Samsung Behold too BriGuy its the other new touch screen phone we just got. Its pretty cool too but I still like my G1 better. |

| peeaanuut Mon 12/1/2008 11:00a | the Blackberry is an established OS and can work quite well. Also there is more and more support for them everyday with additional software from outside vendors.
The G1 is on a new OS. it is a good phone and the OS is very good for what it can do now and in time additional apps and features will grow that OS to a very large piece of the phone market. Just like the iPhone, it had limited features/apps at first and did them quite well and now there is more external support and you can do even more. The G1 will get there one day.
if you want a phone that will work and has an established record, go with the blackberry. If you want a good phone that will come into its own and you like to mess around with the phone alot go with the G1. Just like the iPhone, neither phone is for everyone and depending on your confort level either one will impress or frustrate you.
Some will say that one interface is better than the other. I personally did not like the interface of the G1. I found it rather dull and difficult to navigate. But I also feel that way about Blackberyy and especially dislike windows mobile. I have always liked the Palm OS and of course the iPhone OS.
hardware wise, both phones will do what they need to do it just comes down to what you are willing to learn for the OS to work for you.
Hope I havent confused you too much. |

| ImaDLFan Tue 12/2/2008 10:04p | My husband just bought the new blackberry storm, reviews are mixed at the moment as the camera was broken straight from the box, another is on the way. We are Verizon fans and wouldnt change carriers for anything thats why we dont have the iphone which is what he really wants. The storm does more than my voyager but I didnt feel like I wanted pay extra for it. |

| Schmitty Good Vibes Wed 12/3/2008 9:58a | I just upgraded to the iPhone3G. I couldn't be happier.
For new iPhone customers, there is a learning period that can be frustrating, but when it's over, the phone is a blast.
I do wish it had Flash. |
