14	MPierce Fri 11/28/2008 12:18p	I thought this was a story about the mysterious disappearance of the Flamingos in the World Showcase. Maybe authorities had uncovered a mass grave. Actually I too think this is great. I just wasn't real keen on the idea of non-Disney developement encrotching further into the Resort area.

17	DisWorldly Fri 11/28/2008 6:49p	My cousin works at Team Disney Orlando and I asked him today if they were still going through with Flamingo Crossings and the Four Seasons Resort. He said that they have already started on them. Keep in mind that these projects are more than a few years away. They may believe that their will be pent up demand to stay at Disney property when/if the economy recovers.

19	fkurucz Fri 11/28/2008 7:04p	<<Flamingo Crossing is/was a retail/dining complex with 3 3rd party hotels. Supposedly the hotels were to be more "economical" than other on-prop 3rd party hotels, such as the Swan/Dolphin>> The idea was to steal business from the off property hotels. They realized that there is no business to steal, and instead have focused on holding on to their own business (i.e. the 7 for 4 promo).
20	kennect Fri 11/28/2008 8:26p	I still want to know about the "bustop" project that was planned many years ago as a sorta preview center for WDW in South Carolina at an exit on I-95...Spirit is there any chance anyone you know in Fl. would remember this project? There was a huge story about it here in the paper at the time...What makes me think of it is the fact it sounded exactly like the Flamingo project...Outside people signing on to lodging and food locations on Disney property...As crazy as it sounds I even had a friend that lived in Hilton Head that wanted to get a job with Disney if she could...Somewhere there has to be info on this project that never happened...
