So I was on Wikipedia today, and I saw a weird bit of news. Supossedly Pinochio's Daring jouney maybe closing this june to be replaced by Mickey mouse review. This is the first I've heared of this. Anyone know if this is true or is it just a person trying to start something on wikipedia?? I don't see them adding Mickey Mouse Review one becuase it's old and dated and I don't see them being able to pass it off as a new ride. It's also kind of chessey and I don't see today's audiences enjoying it, or WDI wanting to create a AA show. Given these are very dated and not cool by otday's standereds. Plus the building itself is very old and I don't see it accomidatng the show. I think once it leave's tokyo it's gone. unless there adding Philarmagic which would have more validity. I doubt this is true, but anyone know more??

If it was found on wikipedia, I wouldn't take the information too seriously if I were you.

Well, Mickey Mouse Review IS slated to be removed from Tokyo Disneyland to be replaced by Philharmagic.

So, it's not like it's out of the realm of possibility that it will be moved to Disneyland (it was originally from WDW, after all)...

Maybe a little game of "kick the can" going on?

:p

Mr. X is correct about Mickey Mouse Review is leaving Tokyo. However, I can not see it going to Disneyland much less replacing Pinocchio's Daring journey. If for no other reason just the layout of Pinocchio's would be all wrong for a stage show like the MMR. They would have to rework that whole side of the castle to make it fit.

Now it is possible that some of the AA figures might come and be worked into the attractions.

I would agree that it would be impractical for them to move the show to DL for all of the reasons already listed. It's leaving TDL because it's dated and unpopular, yet they are still able to maintain decent sized crowds at other AA shows like the Tiki Room (whatever the newest version is called) and the Country Bears. DL's Tiki Room has modest-at-best crowd on most days, and all the other AA shows are long gone. If they were to bring one to DL, I would bet on Mr Lincoln due to the history of the attracton and the space it's in, not MMR.

As for getting AA's from MMR, that's a definate possibility. We all know how much Disney likes to recycle AA's from closed attractions (America Sings to Splash Mountain, World of Motion to WDW's Big Thunder and DL's POTC), so it wouldn't surprise me at all. I believe that the Alice that first appeared in the Alice in Wonderland ride (it may still be there) when it was redone with the rest of Fantasyland in the early 80's was taken from the Golden Afternoon scene of MMR shortly after it opened in TDL.

I can't see them taking out Pinnochio's Daring Journey for Mickey Mouse Revue.

Surely .. if it was good enough for WDW and TDL .. why not a park it was never seen in?

But Pinnochio's Daring Journey is not exactly "old and creeky" and ready to be demolished.

I would love it though .. if Disney figured out a way to show it somewhere at the DLR ..even if only temporarily.

I'm sad I never go to see at WDW. My first ever trip to WDW was just after they closed it. And I've never been to TDL .. so, now, I'm never going to get a chance to see it there either.

And I'm sure there are millions out west here .. who don't visit WDW often enough .. and would like to see the show.

>>It's leaving TDL because it's dated and unpopular,<<

Have the lines for it really been that small in the last few years?

Mr. X? MagicalNezumi? Any of you living in Japan who visit TDL often???
