<<Have you ever read anything I've written in this forum where I personally attacked anyone reguardless of their view point?>>

Good lord. What is the problem? I attacked no one. I just said it appeared that whoever gave Spirit the information apparently didn't have it right. I made no judgment on Spirit whatsoever.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I meant feel free to disagree with me on anything. I never thought you made a judgement on anyone.

Those lines are what I was referring to. I thouht perhaps you thought an arguement would ensue if you disagreed. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

<Did you use the discount code?>

Is there one? Where would I find it? And if occupancy rates are so low, why isn't Disney advertising the discount code?

I would book a trip now if the rates were reasonable.

Go to mousavers.com. The codes can sometimes be a little tricky to find so I included a direct link. This offer is due to expire 12/20/08.

<<Right smack dab in the middle of those dates is the marathon. It always sells out. Why not give them a call, and talk to a real person. You might be surprised what you come up with. Try not using the days of 1/10 & 1/11. >>

I was not trying to rig the inquiry. I had no idea what dates the marathon was. I tried again using the dates of 1/17/09 check-in and 1/24/09 check-out. Here are the results;

All Star Sports No availability
All Star Music No availability
All Star Movies No availability
Pop Century No availability
Caribbean Beach No availability
Polynesian Available
Yacht Club Available
Port Orleans French Quarter Available
Port Orleans Riverside Available

So it looks like January is cheapskate month. ;-) All of the values are full as well as the Caribbean Beach.

The 4 Values total 8,426 rooms and the CBR adds another 2,112 rooms. That means that 10,538 of Disney’s approximately 25,000 rooms are booked. Even if absolutely no rooms have been booked at any of the other Disney Resorts (which we know is not the case) occupancy would still be 42%. A 35% occupancy figure just does not add up.

Again, I am making no judgment of any LP'er (thanks for the clarification MPierce). I just think The Spirit may have been given poor information. I certainly don't think he is trying to deceive anyone.

^^^
I realize that the data above applies to that week only and may not be representative. I still feel certain that an occupancy rate of 35% is way low.

I pointed this "NO AVAILABILITY" issue out in the Cancellation thread. All I could find available was The Boardwalk.

Basically, it seems, The rich get righer & the rest of us get government cheese.
