Here is one for you:

Well We were at DLR in Feburary, We were leaving DLR to head over to CA, When my mom hurt her ancle, She said she could walk, So we did, Well once we were in CA for a little while, Her ancle had a spasm attack, she almost fell, We went to a bench, and sat her down, We sat there for a little bit intill a castmember came around (It was about 5 Minutes after closin =D) She asked if mom was okay, we answerd no, She asked what happened, And then she said she will be right back, She came back with a wheelchair, BUT! The cool thing was, She escorted us Backstage, And got someone to drive us back to our hotel, In a golf cart! Through the backstage, We saw parade floats, Ride Veicles, And such, it was so Awesome! We arrived at the hotel in the golfcart and went to the hotel room.

But we saw her the next day, My little brother, Got lost in the, Pin trading place before you enter Adventureland, We went back to see, that same cast member, holding Nicky Looking for us! She was awesome ^^

plenty of good experiences. the staff at Cafe Orleans does a wonderful job making you feel special on your birthdays. they make you feel like the most important person there. they really go out.
most of the times i am at the park is on a day trip so i still have my airline badge. a couple times cms have seen it and called me by my first name. it is a kind of neat thing.
This past christmas season, my friend and i went for his birthday. a few years earlier i had bought him a winnie the pooh key chain. He loves Winnie the pooh. it had broke so he wanted to go over to see if they could fix or replace it. The Critter Country hostess took the old one and gave him a new one. She was just so friendly about it and talked with us.
i could go on and on. there are some cms but you know i think there are far more better ones. the bad ones may stick out, but just remember some of the stories i and the other posters are sharing!

There is a CM on TOT who just makes the attraction so much fun. I never catch his name. But he acts the part of creepy bell boy and is very funny in a dead-pan way. He even dealt with an obnoxious teen with dead pan humor that diffused the entire situation and the whole elevator laughed. I'll have to catch his name next time.

I've shared this story several times before when these threads come up, but back in '99, Mum and I did the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. I was an extremely shy 16-year-old but the tour guide was incredibly friendly and at the end of the tour was asking us about our favourite characters. He asked if we would mind going back to City Hall in a couple of hours and told us to ask for a package in our name. When we got there we found large pictures of Walt and Mickey and Walt and the Castle, plus a personally autographed picture of Mickey! It absolutely made our day and I still have the three pictures framed on my wall at home.

Then in 2003 we decided not to book Fantasmic! balcony seating, but when we got there really wanted to do it and went to Guest Services to see if there was any availability, knowing our chances were slim. We saw the same CM there, recognised him instantly and told him the story about what he'd done for us 4 years earlier. He said they had no room on the balcony and to come back the next morning, he'd see if there was anything he could do. When we got back there the following morning he was extremely apologetic, telling us he couldn't get us onto the balcony. He then presented us with VIP riverside seating passes and to "make up for" it, gave us each a $20 gift voucher! Instead of paying a small fortune each for balcony seating we got free riverside seating plus a generous selection of drinks and desserts bought with our gift vouchers! It was wonderful.

Another good one was a young-ish CM at a store in Fantasyland. It was the end of the day and we got chatting to her. I think it was the '99 trip. We mentioned that I was a big Disney fan, and she decided to ask me some trivia questions. She couldn't stump me, so she ran and got a trivia book and soon two or three other CMs were joining in, trying to find questions to trip me up. We were in there for over half an hour and we were all laughing hysterically by the end of it.

I love everyone's stories!

Several years ago my friend and I happened to be standing at the entrance to the Opera House mentioning how great it would be if we had a list of all the individuals who had windows on Main St, along with a brief description of why they were Disney Legends. The cast member at the entrance to the Opera House overheard us, reached into a desk drawer at the entrance and provided a list of names!

My trip in mid-Novemeber was made even more magical by the GREAT CM interaction that we experienced at the DLR.

There was not 1 single CM that we encountered that was not pleasant and helpful. :0)

Gosh I wish I could remember the names, here goes anyway.

During their trip in May our daughter in law had searing pain on the side of her foot. Calling the advice nurse she found out that she had plantar faciatis (sp) The next day they were to meet a friend for some time in Disneyland and then meet up with us, including a VERY special PS that we had for that night. By 10am our daughter in law was in such pain that she was going to go back to their hotel on Harbor and then hopefully meet us for dinner if she could make it back. I suggested that since they were already in Disneyland to go to First Aid to see what they might suggest. My DIL did not want a wheel chair which I already suggested, saying that she "could" walk, it just "killed" her. They went to first aid where they took great care of her and a CM kindly and firmly insisted that she take the wheel chair and have a great day. He really insisted that she take it, he didn't just offer it :) It turned into one of the best days for them, they made sure to not take advantage of the wheel chair but were able to get her from ride to ride and she arrived for our PS with a smile on her face :) They also found out that there was no charge for the wheel chair :) I was prepared to pay for it at closing but the CM just waved us out.

A CM at the PhotoPass on Main Street was especially helpful in October. We were trying to retrieve some pictures of our grandson and he went above and beyond to help us.

Shall I mention Oscar here :) What can I say, just a gem. I love watching him make the rounds and then stop to bus a table :)

I LOVE it when the CM's get into character on an attraction. Like Sweeper mentioned. They are priceless and enhance the ride so much. I enjoy the silly things the CM's say over the loud speaker while waiting in line for the Jungle Cruise and when the the CM's wave to us as we pass by heading out on Screamin :) I do notice the little things and appreciate them.

Kind of sad that the bad CM thread has more posts than the good CM thread.

I have yet to have a bad cm experience at disneyland. I have only been 4 times which is not many but I look forward to many more.

On the first visit the thing that struck me most was how clean everything was (especially the restrooms) compared to other amusment parks which i think seem to be generally dirty and run down next to Disneyland.

Then one evening while waiting for the rest of the family to get off of Indiana Jones i saw the janatorial person sweeping off the rocks out side with a little brush and a flashlight. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and even though it wasnt something that directly affected my visit it showed me that disney really does go the extra mile to put themselves a step above the rest.

fkurucz, I also noticed the numbers. If you check the other 2 threads about CM's, many of the posts are people talking back and forth with each other and one has gone completely off the original subject.

I also appreciate the CM's who drive the vehicles on Main Street. They are always willing to chat and have some great stories. The CM's who handle the horses are great too. So patient with the kids!
