Hi all - we're having a 20-person family reunion in the park this weekend (woohoo!), is there any place I can go to order a birthday cake for one of the attendees? Rainforest said no, Goofy's won't let us make reservations for more than one table so we can't enjoy their wonderful messy cake. What to do?

They offer little birthday parties at the Plaza Inn inside Disneyland. I don't know how many spots they have, but I do know that they fill up. If you can call the regular Dining reservations number, they should be able to help you out with how to try to get 20 people in there.

Just keep this in mind for your birthday person:

Birthday sticker
Where: City Hall
Cost: Free with admission
Age Range: All ages

The birthday sticker is the first step to a great Disneyland birthday, and the best part is its price: Free to guests of all ages. The sticker lets cast members (park employees) know you are celebrating your special day at the park. Many cast members single out birthday folks with special attention and greetings. It's an amazing thing, considering how many thousands of folks walk around the park with a birthday sticker.

Aned last but not least:

If you are interested in having a whole birthday cake at any of the on-property hotel restaurants, Disney Dining takes orders at the same time you book your priority seating, up to 60 days in advance and no later than 72 hours in advance. A 10–inch round cake, which serves up to 14 guests, sets you back $23.50. A quarter sheet is $38 and serves up to 21 guests. The baking kitchen personalizes the cake with specific colors and put the birthday person's name on it. The kitchen even delivers the cake to the hotel restaurant of your choice in time for the birthday person to blow out the candles.

We will be at Disneyland in January for my birthday, and my 8 yr. old twins. My question is: Do I also have to pay for my husband, even if it is not his birthday, and he wouldn't be decorating a mini cake ?
He just wants to take video/pictures of us.
*2nd question* Should I make a PS for January ? Would I be OK making a PS a few days before when we are already at the park?

We did it for my birthday in June. Yes you have to pay for everyone in order to get in. I am not sure about making a PS my mom did it as a surprise.

Thanks Momluvs and everyone! Great ideas, I really appreciate it. With the coming year of free brithday entrance days, I'm sure there will be a lot of folks looking for cake-procurement ideas. I bet La Brea Bakery would make a bundle if they had pre-made cakes, ready to decorate with a name, ready to go!
