Been reading but not posting.
WOW- things are quiet on the theme park front.
Any predictions for what Disney will announce next year?

To the best of my knowledge there is nothing new planned for 09. We are going to see a lot of work get started over in the DCA.

Agreed--the activity and interest level of DL-General is way down just now.

I predict:

Indy will have lots of planned and unplanned downtime.

Ticket price increases (several of them) will be announced as things to "celebrate."

"Celebration churros" will shrink by about an inch; "celebration popcorn" buckets will shrink by 5-10% of their volume; "celebration soft drinks" will increase in price, etc.

Parking will be at least $12 per car by June 1 (or is it that already??).

New Disneyland leadership will be announced in several of the top 12 executive positions. Greg Emmer will probably disappear completely. Cast Members who have been at the resort for more than 5 years will celebrate by dancing in the streets. The 95% of Cast Members who have been at the resort for fewer than 2 years will say, "Who was Greg Emmer? Was he one of the nephews of Jim Disney who founded this place? Why does everyone seem to be celebrating? What on earth is this 'shoe polish' stuff I keep hearing about?"

When the new Monorail trains are finally refitted to make them actually useable at a level close to their theoretical capacity (but still not up to the system when fully operational from the mid-80's to the late 90's), they will look far, far, far less cool than they did on arrival. Disney will continually groan at its own foolish decision to order only 3 new/rebuilt trains, instead of 4.

There will be at least 2 threads in LP's DL-General section next year about whether or not the Blue Bayou is a good place to eat. Each thread will run about 53 posts before dying.

Not a rumor or anything, but I'd like to see them update TOT's ride program. It only took two years for them to update Florida's Tower. Let's get some random drop sequences over here in California!
