I hope everyone up that way is doing ok after this shakeup! That's a pretty good sized earthquake =S
Did anyone else feel it?
I thought I was going absolutly crazy because I felt a very faint shaking and my chandelier started swinging pretty good. I went in and asked my mom if she felt it as well and sure enough she did! I can't believe we felt it and were way down here in Hemet!
Watching the news right now for updates. Stay safe everyone! |

| teddibubbles Fri 12/5/2008 8:49p | I just loged on here to see if anyone felt it. I live in ehrenberg Az that is just on the az 10 east freeway. just across the river from ca. it was only like a big truck rolling by outside. just where I could tell it was one. it did seem to last 2=3 mins here |

| Kira Fri 12/5/2008 9:00p | Same here Teddi. I sat here for a moment or two thinking my eyes and head were playing "motion" tricks on me. It did seem to last quite a while, at least a minute or two. It sounds like your experience is very similar to mine, I figured it was either a semi going by or our washing machine spinning pretty hard, but it turned out to be neither! Just faint enough shaking to shake us all up ;)
From what the news is reporting it sounds like there was only minor damage to some homes (cracked windows, stuff falling off shelves etc) and no one was injured! That's some good news =) But still stay safe, there are some on going aftershocks with this one! |

| cmpaley Fri 12/5/2008 9:08p | I live just about 2 or so miles west of Downtown LA on the sixth floor of a large, concrete apartment building. I certainly felt it. It wasn't very strong but it "freaked me out" a little bit. |

| Kira Fri 12/5/2008 9:13p | ^^ I agree with you on that one.
I usually get hyped up when we have natural occurances like small earthquakes (I'm fascinated by these types of things), but at the same time I'm always wary of whether or not it will get worse. It was hard to tell with this one whether it was going to get bigger or not.
was it a shake or a roll where you were at cm? |

| cmpaley Fri 12/5/2008 9:16p | Considering where I am situated, it's hard to say...mostly a rolling kinda deal. Being this high up, it's hard to say. |
