I don't know which word to go with, impressive (cause of the coordination involved including a RADIO station!) or ghastly (just cause). :p

| amazedncal2 Sat 12/6/2008 7:21a | Mr X, I'll go with impressive. WOW! I know of a few places that you tune to a radio station when you drive by, but it's "just" Christmas music that evolves with each house. I don't think I'd mind having a neighbor who put so much effort into their lights BUT I would mind the never ending traffic it would cause on the street :P My beagle would need sedation. |

| Pixie Glitter Sat 12/6/2008 10:28a | There is a house in our city that is much like this one. It's fascinating and a huge wow and potentially seizure/migraine inducing and annoying all at the same time. What is especially cool about the local one, though, is that they raise money for Toys for Tots through donations from people who come to see the house. Most nights the owner of the house is sitting out front dressed as Santa giving candy canes to the kids and posing for pictures. The traffic around their neighborhood is horrendous, and I sure wouldn't want to live there, but at least they're raising money for a good cause as well as putting on a huge light display. |

Yeah, the traffic nightmares are pretty hilarious sometimes. There's one house near my family that is on quite a fast, busy road...they actually have cops out there at times, directing traffic so there are no accidents! (no idea who pays for the cops services!?!?) |

In our city we have Deacon Dave and his Casa del Poloma. They do a candlelight processional down the street and then nightly until New Years people visit his home. It's a major WOW. All donations go to various charities. |
