| x Pirate_Princess x Wed 12/10/2008 8:09p | Well, seeing as how I'm going Friday, I'm disappointed.
Good thing I saw him on my birthday last year, and have a nice 5x7 to commemorate. :)
OH! And Kira and I have matching "Pirate Princess" decals on our cars. :P |

| Liberty Belle Wed 12/10/2008 10:17p | I think it was on news.com.au - I probably shouldn't have said "the news" because that makes it sound like it was on TV!

Maybe February? You're away in January, right Irish? |

I mean Jack (Skellington) and Sally didn't last very long at all even though they were hugely popular... I heard the got cut for budget reasons... as in too expensive, I assume it was the same for Jack Sparrow.
We were lucky to see him a few times though, once on the ferry from the island back to the mainland and my sis gets queasy on it and she said so... so Jack held open his little hip sack as if to let her be sick in it. I laughed and said, "don't you smell bad enough Jack?" He sniffed his underarm and said, "It's not that bad." LOL Now the bootstrappers are always complaining that Jack marooned them there on the island ;) |

Don't get me wrong, I certainly enjoy having a couple of beers--especially after a hot summer day with the kids at DL. But, I have also noticed it becoming more of a problem for some people. I remember one year we visited DL before Christmas. Our last night there, standing on Main Street, I was taking in the beauty of it all when I noticed an old man staggering on the street corner trying to light his cigarette. It just kind of pulled me back into reality. Maybe it's this kind of thing that prompted Walt to ban alcohol at the park to begin with. |

| Kira Thu 12/11/2008 11:26a | So we have three different possible reasons so far...
#1 Rowdy wenches #2 Johnny pulled the plug #3 Budget/Demand reasons
Has the company "confirmed" any specific reason yet, or is it all here say still? Also, like someone else mentioned earlier in the post, will this removal impact the pirate show and meet and greet areas of TSI?
Seems like an awful waste of time and money on Disney's behalf to pull Sparrow ENTIRELY, considering how much they hyped up the TSI makeover. Sure they have tinkerbell/princesses for the girls (and in some cases older men), but weren't the pirate's and Jack Sparrow aiming for the swashbuckling young boy category? |

| wonderingalice Thu 12/11/2008 11:33a | I just want to know where the "Here, kitty, kitty" drunken pirate and the rolling pin lady and her turntable-pursued skinny pirate are hiding!
Those kitties looked so lonely last week... And they were yowling for their booze!

| FerretAfros Thu 12/11/2008 11:37a | We noticed that too, since my friend has a cat, and one of her old roommates always tried to get him drunk, just like Old Bill...hopefully he won't be gone too long. The last turntable has been missing for at least two weeks, so hopefully it will return soon (unlike Clarence the goat who was gone for 5 months!) |

| wonderingalice Thu 12/11/2008 11:40a | Yep! Both sets stuck out like sore thumbs to us, too.
We've always mimmicked Old Bill (so THAT's his name! :-) so we just took over for him this time. I'm sure our boatmates loved it. *LOL* |
