| Moon Waffle Fri 12/12/2008 8:37a | We noticed yesterday that there were several suits standing at the entrance to Tomorrowland, motioning toward the Astro Orbitor and the entire entrance in general, taking notes and having a discussion.
Not much else to say, but it got me thinking, could the long-awaited rennovation of Tomorrowland finally be starting to take shape? |

The rumblings have said around 2012 for a while, and this would be the time to really get the planning worked out if they are aiming for that date. By the time they get everything planned (it would probably take at least a year for that) and built (1-2 years depending on type of work and possible delays), which means it could open around the same time as Carsland (terrible name) to help balance out the crowds. |

Moving the Rocket Jets off the PeopleMover platform and into the entrance of Tomorrowland was/is one of the oddest moves in recent Disneyland history. It just seems to clog the traffic in and out of Tomorrowland -- giving the place a claustrophobic and intense feeling.
I preferred the old 1967 entrance.
Some excellent before and after pictures on Yesterland site.

>>We noticed yesterday that there were several suits standing at the entrance to Tomorrowland<<
...and pictured suits standing around without people in them? ;-) |

| Mickeyfan1 Fri 12/12/2008 12:01p | I have to agree. The previous entrance to Tomorrowland was open and inviting. You had the PeopleMover going along and set in the background were the Rocket Jets high above Tomorrowland atop the PeopleMover Load area. Now everything is blocked by the Astro Orbitor and everthing is blocked. Nothing futeristic to draw you in, again my humble opinion. |
