| bean Fri 12/12/2008 7:21p | well i am glad that OLC is still as of now going ahead with the huge tomorrowland makeover. If it continues that way we should see some of the ideas for that park sometime late spring. Lets see whats the next major news announcment for that park in Spring? MIHAS?
well the point is if they do go ahead with that Disneyland should benefit from that project |

Moving the Rocket Jets off the PeopleMover platform and into the entrance of Tomorrowland was/is one of the oddest moves in recent Disneyland history. It just seems to clog the traffic in and out of Tomorrowland -- giving the place a claustrophobic and intense feeling.>>
Well, it’s either accept the Astro Orbitor where it is or probably see it gone. The only way to relocate it to it’s original location would require rebuilding the entire center core of Tomorrowland from the ground up. I doubt that would happen, at least for now. Maybe after the economy recovers.

| Jim in Merced CA Fri 12/12/2008 10:58p | I've heard that it can't be relocated -- seems like a weird reason.
I wonder why they moved it in the first place? |

| oneyepete Sat 12/13/2008 10:25a | Would there be enough room to move it where they used to have the water thing and is now just a sponge? |

| monorailblue Sat 12/13/2008 1:10p | I don't think anyone would suggest taking Astro Orbiter and attempting to place it where Rocket Jets were. That would be monstrously silly looking.
But, bringing back the Rocket Jets--the major mechanics of which are still present--seems obviously doable. No need for an enormous gyrating brown solar system sculpture up there.
Did I type enormous? I think I meant hideous. |

| gadzuux Sun 12/14/2008 11:01a | Right - it's a spinner, not a classic by any definition. And it's a gigantic cork for the TL promenade. AND it detracts from the central hub. If they were to remove it entirely, who would really be sorry to see it go? I've never even been on it, and doubt that I ever will. |

| davewasbaloo Sun 12/14/2008 1:26p | EighthDwarf - with your wish to remove AstroOrbitor and Autopia, I am guessing you never go with kids in tow. My kids adore both (but I would love for it to be back in it's original position). |
