| CuriosWolfSo Sun 1/13/2002 11:57p | Maybe...As long as they don't bring up the fight they had then and if Disney promise to leave the Muppets alone. |

I seem to do this with every Henson discussion. |

| zenifrax Sat 12/28/2002 7:44p | And yet even this past week, the story still hasn't resolved. If Dean Valentine can't obtain financing to purchase a 49.9 percent interest, then Disney might still negotiate to purchase Henson outright. Although Disney's intentions are not for public consumption at this point. |

| BoyRaisin2 Sun 12/29/2002 11:27a | I just wanna know did Disney bid or THINK about bidding. I mean on 12/19 the news said they were "about" to bid $135 million, then 5 days later EM.TV sells a 49.9% stake to Valentine for $30 million (plus the Sesame debt), huh, what's going on? Really? |

| zenifrax Sun 12/29/2002 5:58p | Evidently, when deals are being discussed and/or negotiated, no one but the real insiders know what is truly going on. The information that leaks out is most likely based on peripheral gossip, which may be only partially accurate, if that. Even if reputable news organizations sift out unsubstantiated rumors, the stories about who is bidding how much for which company's assets is probably only part of the whole story. Besides that, when a deal is truly imminent, the specifics of the negotiations between key players probably change dramatically from hour to hour. |

For me as a Disney fan, ABC has not added anything worthwhile to my television viewing. It seems that there are even fewer Disney specials and The Wonderful World of Disney seldom has anything of interest. There is not one single ABC series that interests me. The past projects that resulted from a partnership between Disney and Henson were fun and entertaining. They fit well together. I would like to see more. |

| BoyRaisin2 Wed 1/8/2003 5:55p | Heck, who knows, if Disney actually bought Henson, we could see a couple of Henson Muppet or fantasy series all over (so to speak) on ABC. Maybe even a new Muppet TV movie like they did for NBC. I think ABC has been a good Disney asset as far as distribution (not to mention ESPN), but, CREATIVELY, Henson would be perfect for Disney. I don't know why Disney would want to pass up an opportunity to buy The Jim Henson Company...AGAIN. |
