| Autopia Deb Mon 12/15/2008 8:32p | I usually plan a trip the first week in February for my birthday. With the AP rate at the Disneyland Hotel being $149 a night I'm contemplating treating myself to 3 days 2 nights. I've never stayed there before. But if I can get the Entertainment rate at HoJo's I can stay an extra night and/or have a Napa Rose dinner with my son. So my question for those who have stayed at both... Is the Disneyland Hotel worth the extra $$? |

Have fun. Nanoo Nanoo. |

Nicer Beds, nicer staff, better price.
Go enjoy your Napa Rose meal!!! |

Plus, you just have a short walk and then you can jump on the Monorail and be IN the park fast. That's kinda cool.
But the walk isn't far from Hojo's, too.
And I like the Napa Rose and all but it hasn't killed me that I haven't been in a few months.
My deciding factor would be: what room do you get? One facing the suburbs or one facing DTD and the parks? Also, you'll have resort fees and parking and such at the DLH. But then you'll get to bribe the maid into giving you extra Mickey Soaps to take home to sstreeeccchhh out your magic.
Plus, nothing beats having a drink(s) at the Lost Bar and then taking the elevator to up your room.
If you do decide on the Hojo's, upgrade and get a DL-facing room in building 1 and not an average room in building 2. |

| MomluvsDisney Tue 12/16/2008 10:00a | And the ET rate for the upgraded DL view room is only $79 a night! That is the level room I have for my March and June visit nest year. I requested the seventh floor because I love skylights and no one above me! lol |

I would rather have the extra spending money or a nice meal. I agree with Villains, ask yourself how much time you will spend in the room or the hotel grounds. As for the walking distance it is not a huge difference. While the monorail is nice i have not found it to always be the quickest way into the parks and it is more magical to enter through the front gates IMO. |

I am perfectly content at HoJo's. The beds are truly heavenly. By the time we get back to the room, I fall asleep just like a little girl....*sigh*. It's awesome.
And yeah, if you can swing it, I also say Bldg 1, Disney view, top floor (if you can stand the skylight, but we can because we get up early) with balcony.
Heavenly.
Either way, if you follow your heart, you'll make the right choice. Plus, you can always try the OTHER way the next time you go. xoxo |

| Pollyana Tue 12/16/2008 6:12p | I too, love Hojo's....although never stayed in the DLresort hotels. I just have a hard time with paying a lot for a room. It's hard to justify a spendy room when you are not there during the day. The premium rooms at Hojo's are very nice and the beds are the best ever. And customer service is hard to beat. You have to make up your mind. Either way, you will be surrounded by the wonders of Disney Magic.....sigh....I must wait for March and June! |
