Schmitty... Just be greatful that the Disneyland-Lite of your dreams isn't a reflection of Nara Dreamland! (Thank goodness that place is permanently "asleep" now. ;-) |

For those who haven't had the pleasure, something fun (and frightening) from our friends at Theme Park Review:

| LVBelle Mon 12/22/2008 8:24a | I also have very frequent mutant Disneyland dreams! One of the most frequent ones is floating down Splash Mountain in an inner tube. Lots of times I fall out before the big drop and get all freaked out!
I almost named my son Brian Walter! |

This is one of those things that defies logic, but it just is. It's like in my show group days, when we had to dress pretty nicely to even set up in the nicer hotels we played. You could wear a $4 pair of slack and be fine, but wear a $100 pair of jeans and all hell breaks loose. It doesn't pay to argue against it - just make the adjustments to others' prejudices and move on.

| davewasbaloo Mon 12/22/2008 10:52a | Agreed, but what is annoying is it is fine to wear sports team socks, cuff links and ties - grrrrr. |

| EmmaJayne Tue 12/23/2008 10:43p | Back onto the mutant dreams- I had one just last night! I was in some weird Main st. Where you took an 'Express Ride' straight to IASW.. rode suspended doors through Alice, Winnie the Pooh and Space Mountain before arriving at IASW where all characters we're twice the size of your average person and looked like Britney Spears.. and yet still undeniably Disneyland..

And EmmaJayne, you may have just won the "Truly Weird Award" with that dream! Love the suspended doors thing! :-) |

| Clopin Thu 1/1/2009 8:39p | I live in Hawaii, so far away from my beloved 'Land and 'World. To help keep them in my mind, I have Fantasmic! as my ring tone on my cell phone.
My car is all Disney-fied, with various Mickey antenna toppers lining the dashboard (and one the antenna), a Stitch w/ a ukulele window dangler on the front windshield, Disney stickers, and license plate frame.
My desk at work has a Disney days calendar on it and my lil' Star Wars figurines I got from DL last time I was there. (there's something oddly comforting about miniature figures of Yoda, Darth Maul and Boba Fett watching you work.)
Speaking of those weird Disney dreams, before DCA opened up and before I got to go to the AP preview of it, I had dreams about what it would be like for a month before I actually got to go. |
