was this part of the post really necessary. Its funny how some people make it seem like there is a competition going on and that one site or another will get a prize |

Uh, there is a competition going on. These sites are revenue generators and vie for the most readers. Why do you think they are so jam packed with advertisements? To keep the lights on? No, some people make a living off of them (though some use volunteers). |

| Pollyana Sat 12/27/2008 3:45p | Maybe this is why I couldn't get a straight answer when I called guest relations regarding extended hours. I wanted to know if extended hours will be in effect the first week of June. I didn't get a concrete answer, nothing specific. I am pretty sure that the folks at Disneyland know ahead of time about hours and shows and other summertime activities. |

This far in advance, they probably do NOT know. I think a lot depends on how attendance plays out for the first few months of the year. |

Not to mention ego generators for some! When I hear about what goes on with some of the other sites, it's really quite amazing. |

last December, I was there for 5 full days. I decided to wait, and not see the Holiday fireworks until the 3rd night or so, and then they were cancelled.
I think in the 3 times I tried to watch the fireworks, they were cancelled twice.
So, even if they were offered, there's always the chance they get cancelled.
Same goes for the parade. If it's raining, they don't run the parades.
So, I just see it as more opportunity to see what's offered at DCA. I have yet to see HSM3, PPP, and Playhouse Disney (I have a 4 year old). I also have yet to ride TSMM.
I just think people are blowing this way out of proportion. If POD is out due to new parade, well, that's perfectly understandable. |
