| DyGDisney Wed 1/14/2009 9:22a | I had a woman riding behind me on Small World talking on her cell phone through most of the ride. I was surprised she had reception in there (must have been Verizon!!!). What a memory for her kids too. |

There was a lady i noticed waiting in line for screamin on her cell phone, she got into the car and was still on her cell phone when we dispatched the car. the moment it came back, she was still on her cell phone! some people are so addicted to cell phones. |

I know they are a necessary evil. I have mine on but only speak when I am sitting out of the way. Only answer calls from my kids or if i am meting up with someone and we have not made connections. |

| lesmisfan Wed 1/14/2009 5:12p | i find it pretty incredible when i hear a family about possibly splitting up for a couple hours so that older kids can do what they can do while the parents take the younger ones only they want to do since they are not tall enough for the other attractions. but then i hear oh wait we can't split up, we all didn't bring cell phones! Then i think to myself wondering what happend in the good ole days without a cell phone! I remember if my parents gave me permission to take off with a friend when i was 12 or 13, this before we all had cellphones, we were told to meet at a certain place and time and omg! we showed up! |

Not intentionally - but I have had my phone ring right at the beginning of pirates and IASW to where I had to answer it as it was one of my kids that I did not bring on the trip. They are teen boys and don't usually call just to chat! But if it's before loading I will let others go ahead of us - but otherwise I make sure it's not an emergency and then call them back. |

| danyoung Wed 1/14/2009 5:35p | I'd just like to say that while I'm tethered to my cell phone in normal life just like everyone else, my phone does not accompany me into a Disney park, EVER. There's just nobody that needs me that much and that quickly - they can wait till I hit my hotel room in a few hours!

In my own defense, my cell phone doesn't ring very often, and I frequently don't even carry it. But in this case, I was travelling out of town and was using it more frequently.
And my visit to the parks happened to be on that weird day when paris hilton was being hauled back to jail screaming and crying after getting an early release. I had friends calling me to talk about the story of the day and didn't know where I was.
So before I point any fingers at others for cell phone abuse I remember that it can happen to the best of us. |

I think it should be stated that there's a HUGE difference between getting an infrequent call and sitting there talking all the way through an attraction. Everyone's had their cell phone ring at a bad time. But there's absolutely no excuse to be on your phone yapping away while riding through Pirates or iasw or any other attraction. Emergencies are one thing. But ongoing chatting is just wrong.
