i was a very bad child when I was younger. on snow white's scary adentures (when the queen in form of a hag comes out with an apple) i reached out and took it... i was kicked out of the park claiming i had "lost" the apple when they knew i had it. if i didnt fess up they were going to have to kick me out.. let's just say... that apple makes one hell of an art piece...

A very close friend of LP bought the, as Disney offered it, "One of a Kind" "D" from the marquee. Then when they sold the D from the other side to John Stamos a law suit was threatened and Disney refunded the lady her money and then so and all was happy.

Just a warning before someone incriminates themselves...

One of the many things that cast members sign when they are hired is a form that says they will not take anything from the property that is not specifically and officially given or sold to them.

Even if something is in the trash, cast members are not supposed to take it.

That being said, many cast members over the years have done just that. In some cases, they preserved stuff that would otherwise end up as landfill. Disney wasn't always so "smart" to take advantage of preserving things/selling them to collectors.

Ah Dave, I remember when this person purchased this way back when. Then I read about John Stamos and his purchase and wondered. I had left the boards for awhile and didn't know about legal actions. Good for her!

I have boxes, storage bins, cabinets, and closets full of Disneyland memorabilia. I have gone through phases of what I like, IE Paper & emphemera is still one of my favorites, things like maps, tickets, gate flyers, menus, paper cups, food trays, postcards etc. Speaking of postcards, that is a collection and hobby within itself, I love old Disneyland postcards, I have the original concept art from 55 and cards up to today. I have boxes and boxes of Disneyland paper from 1955 to about 2002.

Then I was [and usually still am] on a 1955 kick, anything from 55. For a while it was Eleanor Welborn ceramics from 1955 & 56, I have an entire curio cabinet dedicated to Eleanor Welborn Disneyland plates, cups, & ashtrays.

Then there is toys, I have boxes of Disneyland toys and games from the 60's.

Then there is what I consider misc souvenirs, things like penents, hats, pens, cermics, figuirnes, books, records, real photos, movie reels, view master reels, slides, jewelry, watches, trinkets, do dads... if it has a Disneyland logo on it, I want it!!!!

In 2000 I got bit by the pin collecting bug... Oooohhh what a sickness that was, I have over 1,000 pins particular to Disneyland Park. [I have not looked at one in over 5 years]

I rarely buy Disneyland memorabilia any more, I may see something at the park that I like and buy it, but I don't go to Disney shows or browse ebay like I used to [allthough I was bidding on a black and white postcard last week, I stopped monitoring it sometime after $150+ I don't want it that bad]

Out of all the things I have in my Disneyland collection, my most precious and favorite pieces are... a wall map, Pinnochio hat [with my name embroidered on it], a set of fold out post cards, a set of view masters, and a felt pennant... with the exception of the wall map that my dad bought when I was a baby, these items were from my first visit to the park approximately 1965 when I was 4 years old and my parents were still together. Combined they are probably worth $25 on ebay, but to me they are worth more than anything and everything in my entire collection because they have sentimental value

Sounds like you are enjoying your collection BT... I have a MM room but lately have not done much. I have noticed that it is nearly impossible to find metal license plates with Disneyland on them... not the frame around, but the actual license. I have two of them, and now know that I will keep them. Disneyana is such fun and so harmless.

I have a pretty good pile of vintage Disneyland material.
A couple of favorites are a Tiki Room gate flyer signed by Walt on opening day, along with a snapshot of him standing in front pointing at something.
I also like my Pluto drawing by Roy Williams, the big Mooseketeer. He used to be in the park doing various drawings for people.
