My fiance was able to get his ticket, but disney's server kept poopin out and both were unable to get my ticket. We are to be married on September 4, 2009 and will be spending our honeymoon in Disneyland. Anyone else think this was a crappy way to sell tickets? Why not have a limit of 3 per person? |

| oc_dean Thu 1/22/2009 10:32p | Can I ask a question though? Aren't these merchandise events a bit over-rated? I never attended one. Seems eventually getting a piece or two of merchandise is not entirely impossible.
And if I wanted to meet those involve with the building of the ride back in the late 60s ... I bet the annual NFFC convention in July probably will probably turn up a few of those same individuals .. as they have in the past.
I've personally attended NFFC conventions both in July .. and the mini "semi annual" in January. And I have some great memories of specialty events of MANY Disney legends putting on a good talk, answer questions, and put on some sort of show .. maybe even a slide show ......... FAR before these type of events became fashionable via Paul Pressler and Cynthia Harris in the 90s.
So ... I would check with the NFFC .. and see if their theme this year may be the Haunted Mansion's 40th .. and see if the same legends popping up in September might attend the NFFC Convention in July. |

But they are fun to go to, that's for sure.
I really enjoyed the one for the TOT opening. |

I wanted to get first dibs on the merchandise! I know its going to go fast!! Then I asked Disneyland if they were going to sell the same merchandise from the event at the park.. and they said that "whatever doesn't sell at the event..will come to the park".. Great! We all know most of the merchandise will sell out at the event! The good stuff anyway. Well, at least Olszewski announced that his "haunted mansion" light box will be an open edition..
Disney really blew it on this one. |
