Good topic, it made me wonder how they feel about HKDL, rather than just talking about how they should feel. I have a blog on Xanga (http://www.xanga.com/anatole69 -- hello! lol) so I sent a PM to my subscribers and friends with a poll on their feelings about HKDL. I got around 25 replies. Most of them came from girls aged 18-25, a key target demographic of the company. Here then are the questions and the replies. - Anatole
2	Anatole69 Sat 2/7/2009 7:42p	1) Is HK Disneyland expensive, moderately priced, or cheap? - the ticket is not expensive, i dont remember the exact price, but it is around US25. - moderately priced - moderately priced but goods was expensive - moderately priced - moderately priced - it's relative expensive as compare with ocean park. - i think it's expensive for it's size (TINY LITTLE DISNEYLAND!!!) - for me.i think its a bit expensive - Most of the Hong Kong people do think...the tickets of Disneyland are expensive... - It is moderately priced and only cost double the price for a day's trip in return for a ticket that you can enter Disney from Monday to Thursday for free the whole year round.and except public holidays too. - moderately priced - expensive. - moderately priced - moderately priced - moderately priced - Very expensive!!

4	Anatole69 Sat 2/7/2009 7:47p	3) Why have you been or why not? - i never went to hk disneyland .its small n all my fds who went there before,they telling me the same things , if u were a couple,thats a good place to go.or u got kids.but for the ages just like me, once is enough:) - i want to know how fun - because my fd invite me and that was free of charge - not very interesting,something make me felt boried. - not interested in it. - 1st time family trip, 2nd time cos friends wanted to go - cuz i booked the hotel room there - Um...some of my friends did go there before,and they all told me not worth to go,it not fun, environment are not good enough,and the main point is,they all think HK Disneyland are just suitable for Kids ages1-8 to go,not for us. - Because I got two free tickets before. - becuz my dad wants to go - for fun & cox just two theme park in HK - there have some good place to take photo. - coz the day is my birthday - I have never been to Hong Kong Disneyland! reason: too busy, too small, I have been to Tokyo, France, L.A Disneyland and L.A. Disneyworld, I am too old to be romantic. - hv discount - I like the cartoon!

The palace is so fake and small. There arn't much shows on the immitated villages and streets.There are souvenirs for sell everywhere , boring...it's like they just want your money instead of make u feel happy. - Yes, i will go again - of coz! - maybe. - I will go again. - sure, if hv discount - Yes,i will. - i have been go to this place so many times, but i don't wanna to go in the future,because no more interesting things and new games in there
6	Anatole69 Sat 2/7/2009 7:51p	5) Was it fun with lots of things to do, or boring with not enough to do? - i been hk disneyland once. it's just so-so. if you love taking photo, that's a nice place to go, but if you dont, you will feel bored (maybe..). but if you go to HK, why not go to Disneyland? altho it's not VERY fun, but i cant see any reasons not going there, except you always go to HK. - Boring - not bad - not very interesting. - Boring - boring with not enough to do.cuz lots of children stuff but not for adults or teenagers - Not very boring.The Space mountain is so exciting - It's nice..riding on the train , it's slow and I can enjoy the view. There are many themes...but...some of them are a little bit....low-class. for example, rides for children ...little cars for them to drive with tracks that doesn't even need them to drive, they just sit there. ...worst...adults can't go on those rides..they're just tooo stupid.. and there's one...of Winnie pooh....you sit in this car, it shakes very little(not exciting ) and shows u around a world that tells a story of winnie the pooh.. all parts of the story are just Card Borads..huge..but...card boards..... 2D... IT's nice though in some themes , there's this ticket machine..u just take a numberand u can go back later wifout lining up. - It was boring with not enough to do - it's not enought things to do, i want more. - i think it was not too boring.i love the characters.it's fun - not enough to do - ok la~photo taking
7	Anatole69 Sat 2/7/2009 7:53p	6) How was the food: good or bad, cheap or expensive? - the food there is not cheap, but they cant say expensive. nothing really special..just fast food. - Expensive - not bad and expensive - i think the food so expensive - quite expensive - good but expensive - normal.and a bit expensive - Have a junk food only. For example: Fries, Burger, fried chicken....All about the fry food. I don't like it. And not cheap. - most of them are expensive...some of them are relatively cheap..tastes good. Glad that there's no mcdonalds. - Food: average but expensive - so far so good, but it's so expensive. - i have not bought.but i think that it is expensive - the food is ok...but expensive - ok~expensive - The is so far so good.But it's very expensive! - the food and drink are most expensive
8	Anatole69 Sat 2/7/2009 7:55p	7) Should HK have built it, or was it a mistake? - it's not a mistake - That is good for the children,and fulfill the dream of someone's childhood. - The Disneyland may aweaked someone's heart of child. - "nice to have" ,but not necessary =______= - it was good, but should have built it bigger with more stuff - hk should have built it.cuz its a magical world for busy hongkees - I think it is a mistake indeed. By the way,the Ocean Park in HK are greater the Disneyland anyway~ - I think it's good for HK. But HK disneyland is too small. Smaller than others. - It's a mistake, It's horrible. It ruins the reputation of HK or even CHIna It's small...and it's losing its money everything (probably ) iT'S NOT as educational as local theme park , Ocean Park. So I think kids would have more fun in OP then DNY. HK should build it be more special theme abt HK/China - HK Should have built it. - not a mistake - I think..should HK have built it.Because it created many position to HK people and let us have fun.
9	Anatole69 Sat 2/7/2009 8:00p	The thing that struck me the most was how many of the respondants had been there more than once, in spite of many replying that they found the park boring. Also the larger number of people who felt it wasn't a mistake for it to be built. Now that it is apparent that this is a locals park, according to attendance figures, they should focus on building attractions and presenting seasonal events that will draw the locals back again and again. Movie based attractions and shows won't do it, since they have a shorter shelf life. Crappy 2-d cardboard dark rides won't do it either. Their Halloween time events have been very popular in bringing the locals in, and this is against the competition of Ocean Park who also puts on a very good seasonal event schedule for Halloween. So it's time to focus on building attractions that have a longer shelf life and on investing in the rides and not building them on the cheap. - Anatole
