One day I’m sure!
We are not around for Castle China’s next event which is the 18th (the events always seem to be around TDL’s birthday) but I am dropping off copies of the last two issues tomorrow so you can pick them up from there if you go to the event.
...and thank you “22” - glad you like the cover. |

Thanks Malin, - the TDL piece is exciting and interesting to us - mainly because the story about Imagineering’s involvement with the park is almost untold.
The art in the article is mostly unseen in print featuring rare concepts for World Bazaar and pieces from three key Tokyo attractions - Meet the World - Mystery Tour and Pooh’s Hunny Hunt. We think it will more than live up to the previous ‘park development’ pieces we have produced. |

The comment that struck me the most about the WED involvement in TDL is simply how small the team was that had responsibility for the park. And virtually all of them were fresh out of college. I think it is a fascinating tale - I hope our readers enjoy it.
I think people will also be interested to understand the current direction for the parks and how Japanese culture has permeated the attractions being developed.
There is a lot of exclusive artwork that has never been in print before - from alternative concepts for World Bazaar to the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour to the original plans for Pooh's Hunny Hunt to Ryman's concepts for Meet the World to the fcade artwork for The Eternal Sea. It really is a treasure trove of artwork - and follows on from the vast array of exclusive artwork that we have had for EuroDisneyland (Issue 10), EPCOT Center (Issue 11) and Disney's Animal Kingdom park (Issue 12). There are over 100 exclusive artwork images over past year alone. |
