Can you still use FP tickets after the time printed if it is the same day? Are some of the rides still off line?

Yes you can still use a FP after the printed time. GRR is no longer offline. Don't know about Roger Rabbit.

The fast pass is good from the time printed on the ticket until the park closses. You will have to wait until the time listed on the fast pass or two hours after receiving that fast pass to get another. But after that point you could be holding several. I usually collect them in the morning, then use them all later that afternoon evening.

It's been a few years since I've been to DL. Does the time between getting the FP and the start time printed on the FP get longer as the day goes on? In other words, is it more likely to get a FP at 10AM that begins less than 2 hours later, than to get a FP at 5PM that begins less than two hours later?

If so, then MomluvsDisney's plan of collecting them in the morning makes good sense.

The return times are shorter in the morning. As the day goes the return times get further apart and some rides can run out of fastpasses.

They give out so many per hour til all the passes are gone. Say they give out 50 per hour, the 50 is now gone for 10-11pm so they will start giving out passes for 11-12am. til the park is closed. If you get one from an attraction that everyone wants a F.P. to go on, then there is a longer wait before you can use it. Hot busy days splash mountain at 11am might have a return time of 9pm because all the other times have been already given out.

Like sean-tyler said, they give out xx per time increment. So say 150 from 10 to 10:30, 150 from 10:10 to 10:40...and so on. As the number available for each time period is used up, the return time goes further and further out. This is why Disney now allows a ticket holder to obtain a new fastpass in two hours from getting the first one or the opening of the fast pass window time. In case the window for that first fast pass is so far out that the holder would not be able to be eligible for any more fast passes until the end of the day.

>The fast pass is good from the time printed on the ticket until the park closses.<

One important correction to this. Technically the fastpass is good from the start time on it to the end time an hour later. Disney CMs don't enforce that end time for the most part. However there are stories of people randomly being told that their end time had expired. I've never had this happen to me, but others on Disney chat sites have. So be warned.

I've had that happen, and the CM (who was new) was informed by another that he was *wrong* to turn us away. He was very apologetic. So you could always come back later and try a different CM, or ask a different CM on the same ride, if you see one. It seems to be accepted "policy," altho you can't fault Disney if they enforce what the ticket says!
