Just saw the 12noon showing in 3-D -- thought it was very, very good.

Wonderful and clever little story -- silly stuff too -- and a wonderful moral.

I have to say, I'm not 'over the moon' about it, the way I was with 'The Incredibles' -- but it's beautifully animated, wonderfully told story.

Mr. Fredricksen and the kid are a great team.

See, and the Incredibles was one of my least faves. Maybe it's an "Either/Or" thing for those two very different movies.

But, UP! ranks right up with Monster's Inc. and WALL•E as my Pixar faves.

How is seeing it in 3-D? 3-D is often cheaply produced and just gives me a headache. But I'd see Up in 3-D if I thought it'd be worth it.

The 3-D process and technique is excellent -- way better than watching 3-D in the theme parks for example -- ttotally forgot that I was wearing the glasses.

^^^^You read my mind :) I was thinking of those 3-D shows in the park and wondering how I'd survive two hours like that. Good to hear, especially with the news that Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will be released as a double-feature this fall in 3-D.

Saw the movie this past weekend. It had one of the best (and slight spoiler here) saddest openings to a movie I have ever seen. Really heart-warming and heart-wrenching at the same time. Possibly the first time I teared up in a movie in a long, long time. The rest of the film was fun, a little over-the-top at times, but never boring. There are a few plot loopholes here and there, but overall, it was fun. Loved 'Kevin', Russell and especially Dug. One of the funniest dogs ever animated! And Carl was much more lovable than the trailers make him out to be. One of Pixar's deepest and most emotionally believable characters.

The beginning is just fabulous, though. Bring the Kleenex!

Really loved this movie. Finding Nemo was my previous fave, but this may replace it after I see it again and inevitably catch a few more things.

The 3D was non-gimmicky and better than the parks' versions, and enhanced the feeling of depth, particularly the sense of height. The only thing I'd check, ecdc, is if the 3D theatre near you is showing the short ("Partly Cloudy") or not. Mine did not, and other LP'ers report that theirs did not either... but some LP'ers report that theirs did. If I'd have known, I wouldn't have minded driving a little further to find a 3D theatre that DID show it.

I didn't know it could be shown without Partly Cloudy.

I've seen UP three times now, and can't wait to see it again.

I laughed, I cried, I bought the Shirt.

Seriously, I LOVED that they didn't do any stupid 3D tricks and really showcased what 3D can do to enhance a motion picture.

I would love to find out what Pixar will do with a feature film that is produced start to finish as a 3D picture. Knowing UP wasn't originally intended as a 3D vehicle, I don't even think my mind can go there.

^^^One of the things I liked most about seeing UP in 3-D, is that it didn't rely on gimmicky junk to make you say 'oooh, that was cool and in 3-D.'

It really just enhanced what is already a beautiful looking movie.

On the other hand, the preview for 'G-Force' with the secret agent Guinea Pigs? That movie seems to rely on gimmicky 3-D special effects.

It also relies on stupid gimmicky Guinea Pigs that talk, in stupid gimmicky stereotypical voices, with stupid gimmicky fart jokes.

Did I mention that I won't be seeing 'G-Force'?
