Pleakley? He is no way a villain!!

Um, is Ratigan inside that book?

Carl is 78? Man, this is as thorny a problem as the Beast being 10 years old when he is first transformed.

If you could get away with a 62-year-old Carl, you could make it work.

Well, Muntz is also one of the rare villains to have his own theme song. A full tilt ballad, no less. It's performed over the end credits. Who has heard it? It was composed by Michael Giacchino, who also wrote the clever lyrics.

<<This isn't really a huge thing for me, but since we're still talking about it... A collar that turns a dog's thoughts into English is one thing>>

The implication is that the dog's are pretty intelligent considering they are forming rather complex thoughts. Certainly if a device truly existed the thoughts of a dog would not be nearly as complex as the ones in the movie, especially the henchman dogs. From the beginning it seemed the intention was that dogs are much smarter than we think they are (or at least they are in the world of this movie) and it's a communication issue.

About Charles Muntz

I still maintain I've seen some pretty spry 90 year olds. What about Roberta McCain?

Charles doesn't do that much in the movie besides fight with a 78 year old and 12 (Russell's age?) year old and climb around a bit.

I did! I loved it! I especially liked the filter they put over it to make it sound like an old gramophone record or radio recording.

Dark horse for an Academy Award?? Just kidding. ;-)

My friends and I sat through the end credits...lol...and I don't think we were paying attention to the song. :)

Dug, there are some Villains who have their own song, so I wouldn't exactly call it rare...it would be nice if Disney could put together a Villain album. A *good* Villain album. ;)

I LOVED this movie. Any film that can spark 6 pages of dialouge is more than a film - it's art. I've shared my own experience with watching the film here: http://www.conversantlife.com/...oking-up. Check it out and let me know what you think!

>>Dug, there are some Villains who have their own song, so I wouldn't exactly call it rare...<<

I didn't mean villains who sing a song, I meant ones who have, essentially, their own theme song.

Well... I cried when the Disney opener came on (sigh), I SOBBED during the beginning montage, I cried through out the entire movie, I cried when I realized we were sitting behind an adorable elderly couple, I cried in the parking lot, I tried all the way home. I'm going to have to go see it again, I'm sure I missed a lot while I wish blowing my nose.

LOVE IT!
