We already have ressies for PPH using Disney Visa rates, but I was just looking to see what kind of deals Expedia has and found these rates for those who are interested:

GCH - $276
DLH - $202
PPH - $182

These are similar to the Disney Visa rates, but for those of you that don't have one, you may want to check Expedia.

$276/night for a friday and saturday night in the middle of June for the GCH is a very good deal! Thursday and sundays rate is even lower - $246. Too expensive for me on this trip, but maybe someone else here can take advantage of it!

WOW that's expensive. Maybe cheap for rich people that stay at the Disney motels. $276 is more than I have ever paid for dozens of 4 night stays at Super 8 or Motel 6 which works for me since I'm at the park 16 of the 24 hours in a day. If I could ever pay that much for a hotel or motel I would never leave it (LOL).

I didn't know there were Disney Visa rates. How do you go about getting them? Do you have to book your entire package, including tickets, through them? What is the percent off the regular price for the hotel (approximately)?

Thanks.

That's pretty comparable to the Ap Rates:

PPH: $169.00
DLH: $189.00
GCH: $276.00

Hi DyGDisney, you need to have a Disney Visa when you check in to get these rates. Just call (714)956-MICKEY and ask for the Disney Visa rates. This is the first time in many years that I may not be getting an annual pass, so I was happy to get the Disney Visa rate.

And yes, I agree GMLSKIS, $276 a night IS very expensive, and that is not including taxes and the $15 Resort Fee!
But rack rates usually start around $350-$375 and up, so $276 is a good deal in comparison.

But if anyone wants a REALLY good deal at the GCH, there is a homeschoolers convention in the middle of September, and rates are $195! All you need to do to is stop by the booth and ask a question about homeschooling, and voila, you are a conference attendee and qualify for the special rate. Go to MousePlanet discussion board for more info, and look for the "GCH $195" thread.

I hear you. I have found that with some shopping around that I can do even better than 4 nights at Super 8 or Motel 6 for that price. I have found that the deals vary year by year: One year I can get a great deal at a Holiday Inn, the next time it might be Marriott, a Best Western, etc.

I sure hope that booth that you just "stop by and ask a question about homeschooling" to become a attendee to obtain the special rate, wich has limited rooms, is inside the conferance that other legitimate homeschoolers are paying to attend.

Someone, who made it seem like they were an organizer, had suggested this be done so that people would legitimately be using the discount given to this group when they didn't meet their quota for the discount.

Probably why it was removed the same day.

Oh I am definitely going to stop by the homeschooling booth, it looks like I may homeschool my youngest son in the fall. He has autism and with the budget cuts his program is changing and probably won't work for him. I wouldn't have known about the conference otherwise, but I am looking forward to it now.
