It is a trend Roadtrip wanted to start (I suppose being newly retired, he wanted something more to do). Every 17th post or 117, 217 etc., we type in Freakin' Spirit Post

I do believe the picnic area is outside of bag check. Otherwise, how would you eat the food you cannot get through security? Isn't it to the left of bag check?

If there isn't a picnic area inside DL do people go outside to eat their picnic food? Can I eat my food in the restaurant (tables) inside DL?

Restaurant tables are and should be reserved for restaurant patrons. Would you take your pack lunch into a McDonald's or Sizzlers? Officially picnics are not allow within the parks. Unofficial, if you are inconspicuous, you can get away with it (but don't get annoyed if you are told off).

As for the Freakin' Spirit Post, it is like 101 Dalmatians on the boards. It is a way to show support to our pal Spirit and Roadtrip came up with 17 being the place. I thought I would join in to cheer him up!

SO in post 26 the inconspicuous can do what ever they want? I guess that is part of the problem and it is a bigger problem at DL because of the local base. If I would be entering DL with a discounted ticket that averages out to almost free over a year and then bring my own food and drinks in. How does Disneycover the maintenance/Fun costs I create? Do the WorldWide Resorts have to struggle with this also or is this just a "Local" problem. What is fair for all in the long run. I realize this has been discussed before and causes many opinions. And I am NOT talking about families with small children or people with special dietary needs. ANd there is a small voice inside me that says But the food at the resorts can get to be disgusting(oversalted and overprocessed) so I would probably bring in food also if I was a local...But How does DIsney continue to Build Bigger and Better in a world that people want discounted.
