No; actually it was the next line - all those hands reaching into the free breakfast. 400+ hotel guests potentially touching my food compared to 3-4 in the GCH. Odds in my favour in the GCH.
And with the Disney specials, the GCH was only ~300 US dollars more for 5 nights at the time I booked. ~USD2,200 for a 3* across the street vs ~USD2,500 at the GCH. Could not believe it!
Previously trips I could never afford the GCH WAY WAY out of my price region.
And more importantly, let's not lose sight of the fact that piglet is in grave danger of being culled :)

So, you think that just "3 or 4" people will touch your food at the GCH-think again.
And if you are really that worried about the Swine Flu-you really ought to stay away from the DLR where there will be THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of people, (and YES some of them will have stayed across the street in (OH NO!)non-Disney hotels (!!!) that will have touched railings, doors, knobs, handles, bars, etc, that (GASP!) you will be touching! |

Guess what I forgot at the hotel...... |

Oh my goodness. I have never paid $2,200 for 5 nights at a hotel near the park, and I nearly always stay at 3 star or better. I hope that included alot of extras.

| DyGDisney Thu 6/11/2009 4:25p | That does seem a bit pricey... Last November we stayed 5 nights at the Disneyland Hotel for under $1000. Maybe that price included the passes?? |

| Pollyana Thu 6/11/2009 8:09p | I am staying 5 nights at Hojos for 400.00. I know it's not a Disney property but it works for us. In only one week, I will be getting all the Disney fun. And I have always taken my hand sanitizer. Long before this flu scare. I work with pre schoolers! |

Before this I've always stayed at the BWPPI or the Carousel - first time at a Disney hotel. I booked through the Disney website & vacation planning which did not detail the cost breakdown.
Dlkozy: Yikes!

How snobby did that sound? If that is not what you meant to say-then fix it. But don't be surprised when others point out the problems with your original statement-YIKES!

| Rider 1 Fri 6/12/2009 12:24p | Ohhh I see... You're the internet police with a sentencing system of scathing sarcasm. I'll try again.
Please refer to post #1's last sentence where I qualified the preceding sentence that so morally offended you. The follow-up sentence was intended to place the preceding sentence in the context in which it was intended.
I tried to point this out after your rant in post #11 but you failed, again, to grasp the reprinted qualification and re-quoted the preceding sentence with yet another sarcastic rant.
I do not believe there were any problems or errors in my original post that needs to be fixed (except perhaps grammatical ones).
May I suggest you review your comprehension of the jumble of letters (words) I placed at the end of my original post to qualify the preceding sentence with a context?
Do you get it now that I wanted to avoid the communal free-for-all breakfast in the non-Disney hotels, where my wife would have insisted we eat because it's free, in these times with a flu spreading with pandemic status?
Perhaps we'll hear a rounding "Oh! I get it now!". If not, I’m sure I’ll be treated to another shot of sarcasm ;-)

| dlkozy Fri 6/12/2009 12:49p | Are you aware that most of the "non-Disney" hotels do not have "communal free-for-all" breakfasts? But all 3 of the Disney owned hotels have that available for guests if they want to include that in their package.
And by your coming to the DLR you are not really as concerned about this flu that is spreading "with pandemic status" as you protest to be. Because if you were you would choose to shy away from places that have thousands and thousands everyday arriving from various parts of the world to share their germs.
I could care LESS where the dickens you stay-but to say that the reason you chose where you did was because of the numbers that would touch your food at a free-for-all across the street is silly.
Spend your time worrying about what I posted in post#12=you WILL be exposed to something or other-without a doubt. Whether you come down with anything or not is anyone's guess.
And by the way-don't inhale on the plane-recycled air and all-who knows what YOU will be bringing to the DLR to possibly infect everyone else there!
