Seriously, get them some stickers or shirts or something with "Princess Mary" or whatever their name is on them. It really made my niece's day to be called by name by all the princesses and CMs. Check the website I posted earlier, they have a lot right there you can choose from, and they were super fast in getting me the graphic, so you should be able to have them in a week if you print your own stickers. I also printed an iron-on and made my niece a T-Shirt. : )

I think just taking them is enough. They are not going to remember much as it is. How early are your earliest memories? Me a couple at age four is all I have. When I ask my kids do you remember this or that they usually say no. My youngest asked me if I was ever a stay at home mom. I stayed at home until he was in the first grade. I think relaxing and having fun is memories enough at their ages.

My daughter is two and she remembers alot of our visists. She constantly asks to go see the "ghosties" or the "pirates" or the "singing dollies" (this is what she calls IASW). She loves going and will mention different rides she loves to go on. Do not under estimate how much enjoyment a small toddler will get from the park.

As for all the side stuff (I.e character meals and such.) That is probably better enjoyed by a slightly older child. My daughter is hit or miss with characters. She likes to see them, but she actually likes the rides better at this time.

Now, since you are taking a four year old who would enjoy those types of things, then you should do them. And the two year old will like them because the four year old does. As for the fantasmic seating, the only benefit I can see is having a reserved seat. It is tough for small children to chill out for a long time prior to the show start. I took my DD over to the area and slipped in about 45 minutes prior to the start of the show (this was just before it went on hiatus earlier this year). I still ended up having a nice lady watch our stroller while I took her potty. If you are taking the two girls alone, this might be a difficult proposition.

On a side note, if you are having someone go with you and the girls, I would reccomend a stroller for each. I always bring one for my DD, but my sister brought one for her DD who just turned 6. It was a blessing throughout the day and at night.

HTH~~

'I want to give them so much that they cry from the pain of having more to live for because all of their wishes and even those they didn't know they had, came true."

That's exaclty how I felt after myf irst trip! Because when you spend 19 years thinking your life dream is to go to Disneyland.. you gte home and think 'What Now?'
the answer is, of course, start saving to go again but next time do it better!

We did the Fantasmic riverside seating a couple of years ago. It was fun. I think you make reservations 60 days in advance. Be prepared to wait in a couple of lines though - this was the only thing I didn't like about it. You make your reservations, then you have to pick up your tickets at the customer service window outside the main gate. Then you have to "sign in" for your show. This is when you get your seat assignments. We were told to sign in at 7, got there about 15 minutes early and were surpised at the length of the line. We ended up waiting for almost an hour to get our seat assignments. The closer to the front of the line you are the better your seats as they allow you to choose. All in all it was a fun experience and I would do it again on a special occasion. Just thought you might like to know about the "waiting game" since you'll have two young children.

I made my kids gift baskets with Disney stuff from the outlet store, Disney Shopping, the dollar store, etc. When we got to the hotel, I ran ahead and went in first and put them on the bed. I told them it was from Mickey and Minnie and left a note from Mickey and Minnie telling my kids how excited they were that we were visiting them in Disneyland. My little girl was maybe 3 and my little boy wasn't even a year, so neither one even remembers it now, but I had fun doing it! Now that they are a little older I think I will try it again. Other ways I like to spoil them in DL: let them buy whatever toys they want (hubby hates that one) Let them get whatever treats they want, last time I couldn't go on any big rides so I just let them lead the way (WAY fun!) If a character waves in their general direction I tell them they were waving at them and make a big deal out of it. Just little things like that that really make them feel special.

I vote for a character meal always. I think they are fun.
If you stay ON SITE you can get early entry on certain days.
If they were older... and could understand HOW special it is.. I would say , look on ebay for tickets for a dinner in Club 33. But as young as they are.. they won't appreciate it..
they have priority seating for the fireworks, up on the main st. train station platform.
Those are the things I can think of.. BUT.. there are other things that are super cool and special.
ask to ride with the driver on the monorail. ( if you already have your tickets, and are staying on site, use the monorail to get into the park from Down Town Disney)
Ask to ride with the captain on the Mark Twain. ( that is fun..)
the bibbidi bobbidi botiques where they can get all princessed out, before meeting the princesses. ( it is back near toon town)
If you are staying on site. call the vacation planning about having a special present delivered to your room before you check in.

And BBB lets you spend all kinds of money to spoil your girls and all of the other girls get jealous.

I mean, they do hair and the dresses and the nails, oh, it is fun if you are wanting to spoil young girls.

Then, when they get to see the Princess they are dressed as, it is JUST too cool for words. (If you are under 6, I mean.)

So, after you do a Bibbidi Bobbibi Boutique makeover, they have the princesses come out and say hello to them?

Cool. How much does that cost?
