Topic: military discounts after 9/30/09

1	momof4boys Thu 6/18/2009 8:00a	I have a friend whose husband is currently in Iraq. She would love for the family to go to DL when he gets home. He won't get home until late August ( if all goes well) and she's not sure if he'll want to travel right away. The only military discount offer we find right now is just through 9/30/09 ( if we're reading it right). Does anyone know if they will be extending this offer ( free 3 day hopper for the military person and up to 5 3 day park hoppers for $94 or less) past the dead line- or offering a new discount?
2	Sara Tonin Thu 6/18/2009 8:09a	She should check with MWR (morale, wellfare and recreation) at her local military base...they would have the best deal, plus they have discounts for rooms and restaurants that you can only get through them.
3	momof4boys Thu 6/18/2009 9:20a	Thank you- I will tell her that. She said they would get emails occassionally about discounts but you had to be currently serving and the dates were dates he was in Iraq. I told her that surely there was something else. He is in the National Guard- I'm not sure if he will still be considered active duty when he gets back but I told her surely there was something for them. He missed the first year of his daughter's life. His 4 year old son really wants to see "Daddy and Mickey Mouse"!
4	Sara Tonin Thu 6/18/2009 10:05a	She should get the tickets and any reservations while he is still active duty. He should know when his deactivation date is, or at least an approximate date.
