1	mawnck Wed 6/24/2009 2:25p	July 28th at the Academy! Five bucks! Holy mackerel! http://www.oscars.org/events-e...aki.html Tix go on sale tomorrow (Thursday) morning. Please wait a few minutes to order so I can get mine first. If you snag some, be sure you're at the Sam Goldwyn Theater extra early. The Academy oversells these things, and the situation outside got kind of ugly at the Milt Kahl event earlier this year.
2	Ursula Wed 6/24/2009 2:34p	I wouldn't say it was ugly. Disappointed is more the word. We bought tickets for the Milt Kahl event and got there an hour early and parking was NOT to be found. We ended up just going home.
3	mawnck Wed 6/24/2009 2:46p	Nope, it was ugly ... as in got very close to a violent confrontation between a few Academy security guards and 150 very upset ticket-holders who got turned away (AFTER spending an hour looking for parking). The point being ... get there EARLY.
