Hi, we are thinking of driving down for a quick trip at the beginning of the week after the 4th of July weekend. Does anyone think there will be a huge remainder of the crowds that will be there for the weekend? We havent been in the summer in 10+ years and we expect crowds just dont want massive overwhelming crowds. Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

I went on those dates in 2006 and the parks were practically ghost towns but maybe because that was the 2nd year of the 50th anniversary. This year maybe more crowded due to the Summer Nightastic and free on your birthday and the 3 for 5 deal.

I don't know if it will be really crowded, but go prepared and you'll have fun!
Make preferred seating ressies for at least 1 meal a day if you're planning to eat in the park. Eat at off times, carry a bottle of water in case lines are too long to get cups of ice water, collect fast passes first thing to save for later in the day, try to avoid the Adventureland area in the crowded parts of the day -- go through Frontierland instead, take a break in the afternoon if you need to, go to DCA where it's a little less crowded, or simply hop in the train and stay on for awhile.

Have fun!

We'll be there the 6th-9th. I'm expecting large crowds and going in with that mind set makes all the difference. Plan accordingly, use the fast pass system, just breathe and you will have a great time.

I was there July 4-6th in 2007 and the crowds were just as bad on the 6th as they were on the 4th. I think a lot of people take vacation time for that week...

Yes, I think it will be crowded. It is summer and peak time.
