Okay, I've used Priceline for the last two trips and got great deals, but now I need the best deal of all time. What's the best deal you've gotten recently (what star level? what price bid?). Also, the deals I got previously were fairly far out from the trip. Is it better to wait if I'm going to bid the lowest possible?

I'm totally guessing here, but I'm betting the 3.5 stars can be had for 40 bucks right about now.

Best deal I ever had was the Residence Inn 2.5 stars 25 bucks a night, but that was 2002.

Best price I have had was Extended Stay America Anaheim - Anaheim Hills(which is considered a 1 star) for $18. This was in March for a Saturday evening stay.

You don't gain anything by waiting - throw out your low bid and see what happens! You can try again another day :)

How about sharing the great deals that you got, too? I haven't bid PL for DL area for years, so I'm curious too :)

First time I tried it in May, I got 3.5 stars for $50. Then this month (June), I got 3 stars for $40. I've been putting in 2.5 stars for $30 for July, but so far no go.

Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort, and it was terrific. We checked in after the park closed and they put us in the Kid's Suite (the one with the Jungle decor)! My 8 year old just loved it!

I've always had good luck with priceline.com in Disneyland Area. We will never, however, try anything under a 3*. We had a really bad experience once in Detroit.

Anyway, I recommend checking biddingfortravel.com also.

I just bid and got a two night stay at the Extended Stay America Anaheim - Anaheim Hills again for $21 a night. I am staying July 3rd and July 4th. Although it is only a one star it is a decent enough place to crash. And it has a large fridge and microwave. (even a stove top, but I never use it) It always seems clean and safe. Plus who can beat that price? Makes it worth being able to stay for the fireworks and such in the park and not have to drive home so late (and dead tired).
All times are Pacific Time (US)
