| WOWOregon Wed 7/1/2009 4:02p | We are booked for DLH in September. I know fireworks are only on weekends. But...if we want a room with a view of the fireworks...what do we ask for? Anyone know? My little one has a rare disorder and is in a wheelchair and keeping her out late is too exhausting. I want her to see the fireworks from the hotal if possible.
Also...on meals...is it better to do Goofys Kitchen for lunch or dinner? Or is lunch even an option? |

| Darkbeer Wed 7/1/2009 4:55p | Actually, Goofy's only offers two options, Breakfast/Brunch from 7 AM to Noon (until 2 PM on weekends)
And then Dinner from 5 to 10 PM.
The Lounge at Steakhouse 55 does have offer a lunch menu. (A bar area next to Goofy's Kitchen). |

While they still can't "promise" you will get the exact room you need, they do put you as priority for that room. We have made room requests before and they are relly great about helping out. |

| WOWOregon Wed 7/1/2009 7:02p | Good to know on Goofys Kitchen. Is breakfast or Dinner better? We were not impressed with the food at the Ariels Grotto but were VERY impressed with the characters last time we visited. We just told them of our daughters disability and they were amazingly careful. |

| rtjl72 Sun 7/5/2009 9:21p | were you at ariel's grotto for breakfast? we enjoyed the breakfast and the interaction with the characters was more than we could have imagined!!! we were only 1 of about 6 tables the morning we were there! lucky dogs us!!!
goffy's kitchen at dinner seemed very chaotic. i don't have any expereince with breakfast there, so i can't help out on that one.
you would need to be on the downtown disney side of the dreams tower and a higher up floor to have a really good view of the fireworks. if you were able, i truly do recommend the concierge lounge. the fireworks can be watched from there with desserts and drinks for all. the music is piped in for the fireworks, too. you would have your own elevator to the lounge from the ground floor and if you request, you may even get a room on that same floor. then you could use the elevator for all of your comings and goings. although, if you were going to go to the lounge for the fireworks, it wouldn't matter whch side of the building you were on then. we have seen a lot of lttle ones in the lounge for the fireworks already dressed in their pajamas and ready to go back to their rooms for sleep. the lounge offers drinks and snacks through the day. we did not ever need to buy any drinks as you can always take 2 whenever you go to the lounge. the only breakfast we ever had to purchase was at the grotto. and we only bought lunch once, too. just food(and drink) for thought. i wasn't sure if it was a good idea due to the cost, but i am now a convert. |

| dlkozy Mon 7/6/2009 1:12p | I am not sure that you would be able to see Dumbo from the CL. That is NOT to be missed! :0) |

| Princessjenn5795 Mon 7/6/2009 2:50p | Actually, Dumbo will not be there in September. The new fireworks display is only running through the summer. I don't know if they will have something new after that or if they will be going back to Remember but all of the stuff that came out announcing the new show said it will only be running for the summer as part of their Nighttastic thing. |
