Does anyone remember the attraction miniatures that were sold in the parks during the mid- to late-90's?

There were miniatures of DL's and WDW's Castles, Indiana Jones Adventure, Small World, DL and WDW Haunted Mansions, and MGM's TOT (among a few others). Each of the buildings opened up and contained a separate figure which was usually a ride vehicle with Mickey or Goofy onboard.

I found one website that has pictures of these figurines: http://www.thehagues.net/mini.htm

But I haven't been able to find any other info on them. Does anyone have any further knowledge about these things??

That page is really old, but you could try e-mailing the site's creator.

I'm not the OP, but out of curiosity, what company made them? Is there any indication or marking on the bottom?

No, there are no identifying marks. These weren't high or even mid-range quality souvenirs. They are of a lower quality resin. At DL they sold for $20, $18 at WDW. The Earful Tower was only $12 since it was smaller. Countdown to Extinction was the last of the buildings and it sold for $25. The bottom of the buildings have a green felt covering. And are simply marked with a Disney price sticker. They came packaged in plain white boxes, with styrofoam inserts. The CtX building didn't have the green felt, but it had an Animal Kingdom stamp on the base, and just a Disney copyright, made in China stamp.

As for specific timing. I bought two of the figurines on our Disney WDW honeymoon in December of 1998. After we got home, we wished we had gotten more of them. My parents were going in Feb 1999, so they picked up a few more for us. We got a couple at DL but I don't remember if we got them in July 1998, or in 2000. But it wasn't too much later that they started discontinuing them. I got 2 of them as prices at our local NFFC chapter meeting, and the hostess had gotten them at either Character Warehouse or the Cast store, and that was before we moved to AZ in 2003.

The last one I got was the WDW HM. We tried to get it at WDW, but it was during the period when the cart was never open consistently, and then was discontinued. We found it at an antique store and since it was the last one we needed to finish our collection, my Mom bought it for us as an anniversary present even though it was $40.

Thanks for the information, hopemax. One of these days I'm sure I'll get around to selling or ebaying my Disney collection, and I was just trying to find any information on these miniatures. I couldn't even remember the original prices! So thanks for your help.
