Sat 7/4/2009 5:48p | I have never been in September. Our trip that was scheduled for late October has been moved up to September; however, we have never been in September before. Can anyone tell me if it will be hot or nice; how the crowds will be?

Mon 7/6/2009 10:38a | There's a good chance it will be hot (stay hydrated, pack mostly clothes for warm weather with a few cold weather stand-bys just in case) but you will miss all the summer crowds and most of the Halloween crowds. I love late summer trips in September. |

Mon 7/6/2009 11:35a | Crowds are the biggest buggaboo for our family. I would rather deal with a few attractions down, but will sorely miss HM, than summer crowds. Living in AZ it is always nice to go when it is cooler, but the upside is that Grizzly River Run will be welcome! : ) |

Low crowds are a big draw for our family, warm weather is not, living in Arizona as we do, but still probably will not be as warm as central AZ in September when we can still have temps in the low mid-100s. Our dates are are September 23-26, although September 23 is solely a travel day as I have to work, but I can go into work at 5 a.m. and get off at 1 so we can leave pretty much right after that. We plan on spending Saturday night in San Diego just to spend some time by the ocean before we head home.
I am really looking forward to this trip. It has been almost 2 years since we went last and then it was just my DH and I for our 20-year anniversary. |
