If you were choosen to open a restaurant at Disneyland, what would be your house specialty? Mine would be open for break and lunch only and I would serve best pancakes in the park.each table would represnt a different attraction.example one table would be a Doom buggy from The Haunted mansion.

I would open a 1950's style diner in Toontown. It would, of course, look like it came straight out of a Mickey Mouse cartoon and serve typical diner stuff, but the baked goods would be our specialty. Muffins, cookies, cakes, pies...

I would do one of three things:

1. Reopen the Carnation Plaza Restaurant. They used to serve the best burgers in DL *and* they had some great Ice Cream things (Milk Shakes, Root Beer Floats, OUTRAGEOUS Sundaes, etc.)

2. Fix the Big Thunder BBQ Restaurant back to how it used to be - make it an a-la-carte menu (or at least have an a-la-carte option). The current selection really is no less expensive than when they opened considering they took away the dessert and beverage (I would guess that a lot of folks might opt out on the dessert (especially considering that it's all you can eat) - but most folks will still order the drink.

3. This is the BIGGIE - I would reopen the Tahitian Terrace as a Lunch and Dinner Restaurant with Table Service and Polynesian Dancers. Unlike the "old" system, I would make it a Reservation Restaurant (saving some "day of" reservations to make it available for day guests). The old menu could be used, along with the Wonderful TIKI Punch that they used to serve (and no, it was NOT just Hawaiian Punch over ice). That place was great. The food was really good, and the shows were a lot of fun. You could have one set of menus for when there was a show (prices would be higher); and another set for when there would not be a show (and the prices would be less).

I love the idea of reopening the Tahitian Terrace. My family only ate there once when I was a kid but I loved it.

I think DL needs a restaurant that would appeal to those that would like something healthier. This is CA after all with an abundance of fresh fruits and veggies. So perhaps it should be located in DCA. So I would open a salad bar type restaurant like Fresh Choice or Sweet Tomatoes. In addition to a salad bar it would have a soup and pasta bar along with fresh fruits. I know the calorie count on such a meal is often not less than a burger and fries but at least it is nutritious food and not just empty calories.

I am all for a healthy restaurant but not a salad bar at the DLR. Too many little hands touching food-yuck.

we don't know why but when we pass the restrooms across from award weiners in DCA, my daughter and i always say "harry housen's". So...we want to open a tepanyaki style restaurant there and model it a bit like harry housen's from Monster's Inc.

I would open a sit down restaurant with all of the best things served at all of the DL restaurants (Monte Cristos, gumbo, fried chicken, etc) but everything would be under $10.

And yes, I realize that this is extreme wishful thinking :)
