I used to think that it would've been cool if Snoop Dogg did his voice... and now I'm thinking...what if it was *Geoffrey Holder* instead? The 6'6" Trinidad-born actor/singer/dancer/choreographer who appeared as Punjab in "Annie" and several 7-Up commercials in the 70s and 80s and...the awesome Baron Samedi in "Live and Let Die"...just to hear that laugh again! :)

I just looked him up on IMDB.com and was surprised to learn he did the voice of Ray the Sun on Bear in the Big Blue House. I used to watch that when the grandmonkeys were tiny (sometimes even with them). I LOVED that show, especially when Bear would say, I smell something sweet, it smells like orange juice. Is that you? You smell so good!.

And then I would usually say, "actually that's benzene, paint thinner and turpentine" :p

Geoffrey Holder was also the narrator in Tim Burton's version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Deep Roy was lip-synching to him at the end)...

LOL! If you go to YouTube and look up...well I don't know "Geoffrey Holder Tony The Wiz" or some sort of combo of that, there's a clip of him winning the Tony for Best Director.

This is his speech: "I just want to say one thing: let's see them make this out of a cola nut!"

And who presented him the award? Ray Bolger, the Scarecrow from the 1933 version of Wizard of Oz. They even do a dance together when Holder comes on stage.

I agree. He seems like he will light up the screen with his schemes and devilish ways. I am sure they will also have him featured in at least one song too! Yay!

I love those window clings. Bought an Oliver & Co. set at a convention once.

It may be worth a trip to the local cinema just to see them.

And (of course) the Geoffrey Holder/Disney connection:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...Rcwm1HkQ

Holder performs "Kiss the Girl" and "Under the Sea" at the 1990 Academy Awards.

Added bonus: Gorgeous and ditzy Darryl Hannah introduces the piece. Added added bonus: choreography by Paula Abdul.
