<<OH NO!! are you one of those nuts that "BOOO's" there own team?>>

And what's wrong with booing your own team? And yes, I am a Phillies fan. If they screw up enough times or don't put forth the effort that is expected than it's OK to boo.

It feels good too. A nice hearty boo when your team is a little lax is healthy.

We took a Japanese student to a game one time. She was horrified to learn that US fans boo heartily (not just Phils fans) at games. She said the Japanese are too polite for that.

You should have heard her bellowing out her boos by the 2nd inning, lol.

I do boo when a player deserves it. Like when Padilla started with the Phillies, he would NEVER run to first to tag a runner out. Just stood on the mound like a sack of potatoes watching the action around him. How can you ignore that?

In the same respect, Philadelphia fans are some of the most loyal fans around. And they will support players who are having a rough time but trying to get out of the slump, like Pat Burrell, for years of mediocre to bad performance. And he was a huge fan of Philadelphia, living in Center City and wanting to stay here for the rest of his career.

I went to a game in Baltimore once. The Orioles fans were like stepford wives. The most vocal were the visiting Phils fans.

Ok, I'm in a rant. See, you got one of us started up. Grrrrr.

I might add that I enjoyed booing Bobby Cox everytime I saw him emerge from the dugout (as did all the people around me who knew he was arrested for beating his wife).

I did cheer every time he was ejected from a game, though.

OMG, I am seriously in a rant, lol.

Pat Burrell was an odd case, because most of the time he should have been booed, at least that one wretched year he had.

I'll admit, I do look down on fans that are stepfords. To me none worse than St. Louis Cardinals fans only because they are considered the best baseball fans.

Great win last night for the Phils, my only fear is that we might be wishing that they saved a couple of those unnecessary runs for tonight.
